I just had an idea for an easier way for guardians to join and find fireteams in the tower!
Okay, so since we don't use our bumpers or triggers in the tower, why not assign one of the buttons to drop down a side bar menu with pre-written messages?
Once you hit the button mapped to this you would select the message you'd want using the d-pad and press A (or X for Ps4) to select it. This would prompt a little speech bubble to appear over your guardians head displaying the message you selected!
Some basic messages would include:
-Looking for Raid/Trials/Crucible team.
-Need one more for raid!
-Wanna party up?
-Join my fireteam!
-Room for one more?
-Could someone help me with the Nightfall?
-Let's do the daily!
-Yes.
-No.
-Sure!
-I'll be right back!
These are basic examples but I think you get my point. Bungie could spruce it up more as they see fit.
So Guardians, do you like this idea!?
Would you wanna see it in the game!?
Let me know in the comments below!
Edit: Spelling
Edit 2: Thanks for highest rated and trending guardians!

This would be really awesome bro, I've never thought of this, if bungie won't add matchmaking they should at least add something like this.

Edited by Trident-SMB: 12/25/2015 9:09:35 PMThere needs to be more scope for player interaction and team building PSN: DeltaGremlin On PS3... add me if you wanna raid, message for normal or hard
-
No, we want OPTIONAL matchmaking for every game mode within Destiny. Until they do nothing else will suffice. LFG can go take a hike up Bungie's asshole!!!!
-
Edited by Rusty Gunn: 12/24/2015 11:46:48 PMor better yet, BUNGIE JUST PUT IN MATCHMAKING FOR RAIDS
-
Why not just make a kiosk for raid parties that has the same function as lfg except it's in game
-
I have an idea too! It's called matchmaking. And get this, I get paired with randoms, just like lfg!
-
You may have an idea. That would be much easier than going on lfg.

Edited by Erijian: 12/24/2015 9:59:08 PMAlways thought an in-game LFG would work best; like a bulletin board system somewhere in the Tower where Guardians can put their requests into. Might be too complex for something like Destiny though.
-
Literally any idea is better than what's currently in place for finding teams in-game (nothing).

Nice, not to try and steal your thunder or nothin but i posted similar thoughts about a year ago, also added they could even make it as simple as allocating emblems for 'looking to do' each activity, although best one is for them to merely have a mm option, instead of just starting/searching for randoms the ship would land in a specified tower, again pertaining to the activity/lvl you was looking for, instead of the normal tower that is limited to X amount of us, due to vendors/vaults etc, the mm one could strip those features out allowing for many more ppl to be present, from there it'd be a lot easier checking out prospective partners, it's not going to happen though, as much as yours and my ways would Not impact anti mm types, dev just ain't bothered enough, unless the player-base takes a very noticeable nosedive long before Destiny2 is due anyways.

I guess Club Penguin is becoming a part of Destiny now.
-
Why not just allow folks to elect into a public voice channel if they want to?
-
That's actually a good idea. Bump.
-
How about an in game LFG system?
-
lfg is fine, btw is invite down again?
-
This would be nice
-
Imagine the spam.
-
in game guilds and in game lfg needs to happen
-
Why not just send every single person in every tower a msg? Haha
-
-
There's really not that many guardians in the Tower if you look. Check out your roster next time. You'll hardly ever find a full raid group looking for one more person. You know what they SHOULD do, though? Link the recruitment forums in game. Maybe in orbit. A way to post an automatic message looking for a raid or ToO group. Where it will post online and on everyone else's orbit threads. Send automatic messages and invites by the push of a button.

I like it!

This was what defiance did.
-
If anyone has ever played DCUO then the lfg should be exactly like that
-
Great idea - hopefully someone in Bungie is paying attention

I want a bowling alley.
