First off, in no way do I take credit for discovering the actual challenge.
This is just a strategy I devised for the community from watching others complete this challenge.
1) Know the challenge.
You must defeat Golgoroth without failing to capture his gaze. The number of orbs you destroy with each rotation doesn't appear to matter, as long as all 6 players have held his gaze.
2) Beware the Thrall.
They appear to be the most painstaking part of this challenge. You can appoint someone to add clear in between orbs to help with the Thrall population.
3) Positioning.
Your positioning is everything, regardless of which side you choose to start left or right, front or back, you're going to want to swap from side to side.
Example: L3-R3-L2-R2-L1-R1
4)Counting out loud.
It's imperative to your success that everyone can hear the person counting down with the gaze and that everyone else knows what is expected of them at which point during the countdown.
Example: Around 7 seconds someone should leave the pit, (preferably the person with the unstable light) to position themselves behind Golgoroth, ready to capture his gaze. During the last 3-4 seconds everyone remaining in the pit should begin firing on the next orb to position themselves in time for the next orb.
Warning!
While it makes more sense for the person who has the unstable light to leave the pit, to continue holding his gaze, it's important that you don't have the same person end up capturing his gaze more than once. To avoid this it's just easier to assign someone to each orb.
Edit: I'm aware that there is currently a "cheese" method which requires you to destroy only one orb. Wether or not you chose to do so is entirely up to you and your group.
Also, I apologize for any misinformation, this guide was written soon after the first few groups completed it. Since then further information has been discovered, I will update the guide accordingly.
