7 RepliesCouldn't you just have everyone take the gaze and do no damage, and then after everyone has gone have the main gaze taker take it till you beat golgoroth? So like.. One person takes it, then the next immediately after, then the 3rd, etc. Once everyone has gotten it just have one person take it from there and start actually fighting.

6 RepliesThe easy way: https://youtu.be/02Iymv1VwEA We did it in 2 damage runs but you can extend it for as many runs as you need to kill him unless he enrages. Use normal 1 orb strat, one gaze runner and everyone else in the pit. At 8 seconds left on the gaze one person in the pit moves to behind Golg and grab the gaze and then moves out of the pit to one side. Everyone gets out of the pit on 0 seconds as usual and the remaining 4 people get the gaze right away one after the other until the last person has it and they just run around until it is done. Kill adds and repeat until Golg is dead. Continue to have each member get the gaze each round unless you will kill Golg in that round before the primary gaze runner gets to 0. If you can kill him that round you don't need everyone to get the gaze. The "Failed to capture gaze" message is the trigger that will cause you to fail the challenge if ever team member hasn't had the gaze. If someone dies with the gaze or before getting the gaze that round you will need to wipe. Warlock can self rez as long as they have already had the gaze or can grab it after they rez. If someone dies before the last round where you don't all need to grab the gaze that's fine as long as you kill Golg that round. The video shows it done in 2 rounds so we all grab the gaze the first round but we just kill him the second round. We did it again with lower light level people and had to do 4 rounds so the first 3 we all grab gaze and the last round we just killed him and we did get the challenge loot.

Edited by YAT FU 1833mc: 12/10/2015 8:35:56 AMWhat my team did was super easy too! after all enemies are dead we split up on opposite sides and we all took turns grabbing the gaze. So basically I grabbed the gaze 1st, after a few seconds his back opened up and the second person grabbed it. and so on and so forth. once the fifth person grabbed the gaze, we started to drop the orb. when the sixth grabbed it then we dropped down to DPS. We had to do that every time. Worked like a charm.

2 RepliesEdited by F GGY TIME: 12/9/2015 1:45:48 AMI did this a few hours ago, I will tell you how our team pulled it off first go with 1 bubble strat 1. Clear Ads 2. One member grab gaze, one member stand opposite of gologoroth, other 4 drop first orb then drop in and dps. (corrupted light remember to leave) 3. First gazer call out at 3 seconds and have member behind golgoroth grab the gaze 4. Next (dps round is over), 2 members go and meet with the member that just grabbed gaze, other 2 members go with first gazer. 5. Trade off gaze between remaining members until everyone has had the gaze, 6th member to get gaze can let it run out. 6. Rinse and repeat 7. Final dps on golgoroth does not require all players to grab gaze.

O...m....g how hard is it for people. To.follow simple instructions!! Done the challenge twice on first attempt with my team last night then joined a random team that had apparently been trying for 3 hours! They could not follow a simple thing like "take the gaze then walk over to that corner" then after 2 tries of my way the wanted to revert back to what they had been trying for 3 hours.. These are the same people that haven't killed oryx yet -
How is that a cheese? What glitch are you saying people use for one orb? If there isn't a glitch, there isn't a cheese.

[b][i]WHAT MY TEAM DID:[/i][/b] We assigned gaze numbers then we got the L1 orb down then did damage, #2 got out at 5 seconds and waited for the gaze to run out then we would trade the gaze; since Golgoroth opens his back up after about 3-4 seconds we would get the gaze as soon as possible to make it faster, since #6 has to have the gave for the longest time we decided to take down R1, this got him down to a little under half.

First of all, how can you tell that it is a cheese? Have bungie officially posted a "legit" way? The challenge is clear to me; every player must hold gaze during a round.
