So Destiny even before lauch seemed to have the potential to be a really entertaining in terms of competitive play and it xould go pretty far IMO in the ever growing e-sports scene, which now is mostly all about MOBAs (League of Legends, DOTA 2, Smite) with a big runner up being SC2 and fighting games (Smash Bros, Street Fighter etc.). FPSes though were one of the precursor genres in competitive play (Quake, Unreal Tournament, CS 1.6 and many more came and went throughout the years) nowadays the only FPS in tournaments seems to be CS:GO, ok maybe CoD games now and then but they never actually really mattered after MW2. and Halo had an interesting but very small piece of the pie few years ago, Destiny had always the potential to be an e-esport with the character building and many gear variations adding more depth to the "stale" FPS genre and Destiny's game modes/maps are pretty fit for the task. So far though it can't be done, without the ability to make customs games thus being able to put 2 clans up against each other, or a mode "clan wars" (or whatever name bungies settles to) creating your fireteam with your clanmates and getting matched against another clan and getting ranked as a clan in ladders. Even iron banner would find it's home, clan wars with iron banner rules, team X vs team Y, gaining/loses points in the clan ranking ladders and soon the community will help Bungie build a competitive scene on e-sports pitting the top ranked clans against each other in tournaments (watch out Riot Games...here we come :P ) and with the addition of allowing anyone creating custom games giving Destiny communities around the world to make their own tournaments with sponsors and stuff....... Pls Bungie don't let this game be the next Diablo 3, (if D3 had a real PvP mode by now it would had been one of the biggest e-sports, since Blizzard supports it's other games in the e-sports field) pls don't make the same mistake letting your game be a mostly a PvE with a PvP side option, IMO it would be more suiting for Destiny to be more PvP centric and making the PvE more of a "skill raising" ground and a place were we can jump in with 2 other friends and shoot stuff in order to have fun and upgrade your char for the PvP.
