"Look! They have a pattern! They are always appearing in the same place! Split up, cover each spot, and no matter the circumstances take those things out!" yelled Master Jal. The five warlocks and the hunter stood in select areas waiting for the oracles to return. Soon, the chimes of their return echoed in the chasm. "I got one!" yelled Brian as he reloaded. "Second oracle down!" shouted Isaiah. "Dakota! I got snipers, need assistance!" shouted Daniels. "Let me kill this oracle." Dakota shot his oracle then took out the Vex snipers! "I think we got all six." said Clara as she reloaded her hand cannon. Everyone ran to the center, no fanatics this time. The Templar just sat there. "Why is it just sitting there?" asked Daniels. "I'm not sure." answered Master Jal. The chasm echoed with the song of death, the oracles were back. "S***. Places everyone!" yelled Dakota. Everyone tried to shoot the oracles as soon as they appeared. Brian's rifle clicked three times. "I'm out of ammo! Hurry! Finish this oracle!" Master Jal spun around, but it was too late! Brian's, Isaiah's, and Daniels' vision were blurred. Soon, those three were instantly killed. "Oh, s***!" yelled Dakota. He, Clara, and Master Jal defeated the other oracles! "Get them up, Dakota!" demanded Master Jal. Dakota revived the other three guardians. The oracles respawned, still in the same place. Brian, Daniels, and Master Jal killed their oracles. Dakota killed his oracle, he then proceeded to help Isaiah. Clara went to kill her oracle, but a line shot went through her shoulders! Dakota caught her dead body, waiting for her ghost to appear. He pulled out his sniper rifle and killed the oracle and the Vex sharp shooters. Dakota revived Clara as soon as possible. "Good job. I about got us screwed." Clara rubbed her arm. With everyone alive, and knowing what to do, they continued the cycle three more times. The Templar had vanished, and something rose out of the center of the courtyard floor. "The aegis. The only remains of Kabr. Get your heavy weapons ready! I'm going to hit the Templar and I want you all to open fire!" yelled Master Jal. He picked up the shield and killed several Vex! "Weapons ready!" shouted Brian. "Good! Ready.. get set.." Master Jal fired a blast from the aegis, which brought down the Templar's shield. "FIRE!!" continued Master Jal. Everyone fired rockets and machine guns at the Templar. The giant Vex device twitched and sparked as bullets pierced it, and explosions radiated around it. The Templar manged to teleport to safety, during this time, everyone reloaded. "Weapons are locked and loaded, Master!" shouted Brian. "Alright. Just two more blasts, and we're done." Master Jal looked around for the Templar. "There it is! Get your weapons ready." "On your command, Master." said Brian. "FIRE!!" Master Jal brought down the Templar's shields again. The Templar lost more of its armor plating, showing its inner workings. Then, it vanished. "Last run, guys. Use whatever you need to." said Master Jal taking deep breaths. "I'm not as young as I used to be." he continued, laughing. "We're all running low on heavy, but I think we got this, Master." said Brian inserting a rocket. "Let's do this." Master Jal charged the ionic blast from the aegis, and fired it. Everyone shot at the Templar once more, but there were several machine guns that started dry firing. Just when the Templar thought he was safe, two voidwalkers, Brian and Isaiah, jumped up and threw nova bombs at it. The Vex piece of scrap fell to the ground and exploded! Everyone cheered in their small victory. "Let's find a way out of here." Master Jal looked around the walls. "How about this giant, obvious, loudly opening door?!" yelled Clara. "... Why not." Master Jal sighed. Everyone walked down the cave path. The trek was smooth until it came to a sudden drop off! "Hold up!" shouted Brian. "How far down do you think it is?" asked Clara. Dakota picked up a rock and dropped it. He looked to Isaiah, who was counting. "I don't know when to stop counting, I didn't hear it hit the bottom." Isaiah sounded worried. "Hunter? Do you got double jump or triple jump?" asked Dakota. "I.. I.. I got double jump." Daniels was frozen in fear as he looked over the edge. "Don't waste them all at once." Brian grabbed Daniels' shoulders and shook him! Daniels jumped away from the edge. Everyone laughed at Daniels' feminine scream. Master Jal took a running jump and plummeted down the canyon. He began to glide down thirty yards from the ground. Everyone watched his decent, then looked to each other. Brian tilted his head to say to follow, then he jumped off. After ten minutes, everyone had landed in the canyon. "Now what?" asked Daniels. "Shush!... listen." demanded Master Jal. Everyone sat still and listened. A low drone echoed in the canyon. "Not those oracles again." whined Daniels. "Not oracles. This is something new." said Isaiah listening. "There! What is that?" yelled Clara terrified. There was a petrified guardian holding a Suros Regime. The guardian appeared to be flash fried into a stone statue. Dakota inspected the dead warlock. "Gorgons!" he yelled. "Are you all ready to take the gorgon's maze?" asked Master Jal. "Daniels, you alright?" asked Clara. "Yeah. Look, that waterfall has to come from somewhere. I want to check it out." replied Daniels as he walked to the cliffside. Everyone followed behind. Daniels jumped from rock to rock, finding a cave. "There's a chest in here!" he yelled back. Everyone climbed the rocks and entered the cave. Isaiah got a scout rifle, Master Jal got an auto rifle, Clara got a hand cannon, and everyone else got acendant energy or shards. "Dakota, what did you get?" asked Clara holding her new hand cannon. "I haven't opened it yet." Dakota opened the chest and got Ice Breaker. "Oh! H*** yeah!" "An exotic?!" said Clara amazed. The guardians left the cave and started their trek. "Wait! Master Jal, permission to take point?" "Hunter, after the condition we found you in, I don't think so." said Brian laughing. "Alright, Brian. You may find your way out of a library or something, but I have survived these jungles for a long time. Also, I think I asked Master Jal." "Oooh!!" Dakota Isaiah gave Daniels a high five. Even Master Jal laughed. ".... You all are warlocks too!" yelled Brian after standing there silent. "Yes, Daniels. Your skill in navigation and evading may keep us alive here." said Master Jal. "Follow my lead. I run, you run. I stop, you stop. Let's go." Daniels held up his fingers saying to go. Daniels slowly walked a path, but he stopped beside a rock when he heard the chirping of the gorgons. A white harpy hovered past them. It sat there for a second. Everyone raised their weapons slowly. Then, it disappeared. Everyone sighed. "Climb up the rock." Daniels pointed up to an slanted rock. Everyone ran up, and as soon as they did, two gorgons circled the rock. They left and Daniels jumped down. Everyone followed behind as they entered a choke point. "Where to now?" asked Master Jal. "I don't know." Daniels leaned against the wall to keep from being spotted by a gorgon, but there was no wall! Daniels back flipped into a small cave. "This way!" he yelled as he continued to fall. Master Jal looked to the other warlocks and shrugged his shoulders and followed. While Daniels non stop rolled down the tunnel bouncing off the walls, everyone else followed the twist and turns. The team entered another large chasm. Daniels finally stopped rolling and landed on his face. He looked up to see several floating blocks appearing and disappearing. "Here." Master Jal helped Daniels up. "This is going to be fun." said Daniels cracking his fingers.
