• How about NOT risk people being shot by 5 year olds and give them to more trained policemen?

      • When I went to walmart, and was interested in buying rat poison, I learned about a 2 year old who killed himself with it. I also learned about a 19 YO mother who poisoned her husband with it. Then I wanted drain-o, and heard the dark history about drain-o deaths. Then I wanted some dishwasher tablets.... When I left walmart, it really opened my eyes. Killing rats, and having shiny dishes just isn't worth it. It really came out of left field for me. I know it's my right to buy that stuff, but I think it's better for everyone if we opt out.

            • I stopped when it showed the statistic for increasing homicide and suicide. Homicide or self defense? When you kill someone it's considered murder automatically. Most statistics are wrong anyway.

            • Yeah, because it was the gun. Think about why it really happens. If it's intentional, it's because the person is very mentally sick. If it's accidental it's because the gun owner was irresponsible. I've lived my entire life in the house with several guns. Believe it or not, when I was a child I never opened up the safe and shot my family because they were responsible about keeping those guns away from me. When I grew up I did not grab the keys to the safe and go on a shooting rampage. Pretty crazy because guns are soooo allegedly dangerous. Get the liberal gun "control" propaganda out. And the people who support it, to. Preferably to some remote island.

              • That whole shop was fake, and none of the guns in that shop are real because most would be illegal in the place it's in (NYC). It's a fake ploy and is a cheap way to push a agenda. Not to mention, everyone in that room buyers included are actors. Also Tyson is using suicide and gang violence to back up his numbers. Both are two different demons when it comes to gun deaths. He's also wrong with the Americans died in wars, because 600,000 Americans (Confederates included) died in the Civil War, and 400,000 in WWII alone. Comparing war deaths to gun violence is just wrong, ESPECIALLY when you get your numbers wrong.

Honestly I'd probably buy the gun that was used in sandy hook, there's no way that isn't incredibly valuable or something

A little history. Until 1969, gun sales were largely unregulated. It was common to buy guns at hardware stores. There was no background check and no waiting period. The murder rate in 1969 was 7.3. It had been trending up, coincidental with the hippie movement, greater drug use and the postwar population boom. In 1969, the Gun Control Act established the FFL system and federal background checks. 1970 murder rate - 7.9. 1971 - 8.6 1972 - 9.0 1973 - 9.4 1974 - 9.8 So what is the lesson we took from this? The same as always ... "We need more gun control!!" If we sold guns like we sell hammers, no background check or paperwork, real-world evidence tells us it will not raise (and may possibly lower) the murder rate. But reducing the murder rate isn't the true purpose of gun control, so it doesn't really matter. People who don't bother learning much will continue assuming "more guns more murders," and hardcore activists will continue to parse and spin data. Meanwhile, the real purpose (greater government power) continues rolling along.

                        • I store mine in a safe that's locked up an hidden from any youngsters. The video focus on the gun, not on the people who owned them. If you're not responsible enough to keep you're guns in a secure area, then you shouldn't have one to begin with. Video blames the guns for humans problems, humans always want to blame anything other then themselves. I think you should have to be trained how to safely store and use a firearm, you should have to have a mental health examination and a extensive background check. (There's already background checks, but they need to be more thorough.

When buying stuff you are unilaterally aware of the risk associate with it. So, I don't know what to tell ya.
