*phew* I thought the DeLaurentis view of Geidi Prime was "truer" to the vision in my head. I really didn't think they did a bad job with the miniseries though. They missed a whole lot more with the movie. The miniseries did have that wierd CG mouse though. Or MuaDib' (However it's spelled.) But as I started Messiah I got disillusioned, as it was more from the viewpoint of the princess, and I had gotten attached more to Paul. I tried to read Children 3 times, but the first time, my house burned down, the second time, my grandmom died, and the third time, I got laid off of work, and sold almost everything I owned to put food in my family. So In my opinion the book is cursed. But back on topic, you should keep Shai Hulud, as it carries with it a certain [i]feel[/i], it sounds powerful... [Edited on 7/3/2004 1:47:47 PM]

You can make a new passport and make a new account, though we definitely frown on that and having duplicate accounts is against our rules. If you're going to retire one, well, I guess that's ok. Keep in mind you will also lose your "history" so you'll be depicted as a brand new member with an account creation date of today rather than last year.

I don't entirely understand the question.... I kinda like the way Geidi Prime looked in the movie that came out in '84 better than what was shown in the miniseries. All the movies are good as movies, I think... but as movies based on a good book, they really suck. (But its hard to compare movies to books, because they're two different things...)

I only read the first two books, Everytime I try to pick up a different book, something catastrophic happens in my life so they've become a bad luck symbol... By the way on a related note, Which movie version of Geidi Prime do you like better, the DeLaurentis or the 'Updated' Sci-Fi Channel one?

But when I change my name, which will be soon, I'll put in my sig that I was Shai Hulud. I still like Shai Hulud... I just want something different. I've got something nice in mind.
