what increases aim assist on snipers?
just wanted to know because snipers have been everyones go to for trials and PVP recently.
i don't necessarily approve of any aim assist on snipers but i have to do what i can to win just like everyone else.
in fact i would love if all snipers lost any aim assist, but just for this post lets start with a base model for PVP

2 Repliesokay, again Aim Assist does NOT magically pull your bullets to your target, neither does it curve your bullets' trajectory all it does is it slightly slows down your reticle as you 'drag-scope' over your target

Here's a link to the scopes stats. Range and magnification seem to be what are responsible for enlarging the hit box. Larger magnification is a double edged sword though. Targets skate through your line of sight rapidly. Pick the combo that is comfortable for you

They really should get rid of aim assist scopes and hidden hand all enhancing perks for it. It's the same crutch as "shot package". I want to get better at sniping and this high aim assist snipers bs is a crutch worse then shotguns since you can just camp and never be confrontational. No I'm not asking for shotguns to be the meta, but sniping should reward accuracy and skill not increased hit boxes and sticky aim assists.

Certain scopes such a shortgaze and I think longview, send it and hidden hand perks although you can't roll send it anymore and I believe range also plays a factor.

4 RepliesYou need the Shortgaze or the Longview SLR10. These give you some aim assist the most out of all the other scopes. Then the perk, Hidden Hand, which grants more increased aim assist.

3 RepliesI'm pretty sure the scope had a lot to do with it. Ambush gives you a lot of stability and not much aim assist. Shortgaze gives you a lot of aim assist and not much stability.
