New Advanced Wishlist

The bulk of this post was made by Brofficial, all creds to him. This post was merely tweaked a bit and posted as a thread by GeorgeWBush. Feel free to mention any additions I should make to the list. I will try to get to as many as I can. Disclaimer:
No, I did not do 9/11, so don't ask.
Here is a list of ideas I've been brainstorming for Destiny: Player Mechanics
New and unique movement options for every class. For example, Hunters can have feats of agility like wall running, ledge climbing, and evasive maneuvers like Shadow Step. Titans could have expanded thruster mechanics like Spartans in Halo 5, and Warlocks could have expanded blinking abilities like choosing destinations or making group portals. New elements and subclasses as well as the old ones. New unique and varying abilities always add wanted depth to any game, but only if they are well thought out and balanced before hand.
Game Modes
I think I speak for a lot of people when I say Prison of Elders was a great idea but wasn't executed in a way that could truly represent that idea. I'll be frank. Firefight horde mode. Have it so rewards drop after each set or a certain amount of sets, each set has truly random modifiers and themes, and each set continuously gets harder but has greater rewards. This makes it so that the activity itself is inherently fun with replay ability, but rewards you on top of that inherent fun. I love the way strikes as an idea are heading, only thing I can think of is more of them. I think as far as Raids go having more of them would be good, having them all be unique would be great, and making it so that they stay relevant always would be amazing. I'm not in the Fatebringer 4 life boat, but maybe having the trophy weapons like the Mythoclast and Necrochasm always drop at the current attack values would be great while giving players incentive to experience these raids if they didn't get to before.
Social Spaces
Making the Last City be a sort of non combat social patrol would be amazing. Have it so that there could be vendors with cool cosmetic items hidden in alleys and on top of buildings or hard to reach places. There could be a place like the Hall of the Consensus where player stats and world statistics are displayed and access to faction hubs be found. Visiting the Crpytarch's Archives and accessing the Grimoire therein would be awesome, and more player interaction like puzzles and movement challenges like the Dreadnaught would give it life and make a place where people can just have good old fashioned fun. The Comm Hub. This would be a place in the Tower where you can spectate Crucible matches and see status updates on Guardians in the field. It'd also be a clever way to put LFG functionality in game! Private Quarters in the Tower. A place where you and friends can meet in private. Doesn't have to be flashy. Maybe some customization? Memorial Room in the Tower where you can access the Vanguard Archives and read lore of the Destiny world, and also the stories of fireteams and guardians who came before you. This would add that much sought after story telling in the game. Monuments in the City to events like Six Fronts and the Twilight Gap as well as Raid clears.
Game World
Weather and ambient wildlife like originally planned would breathe even more life into the game. Unique environmental hazards like blinding sandstorms on Mars and Hurricanes/tropical storms on Earth. More patrol locations on the moons of the Outer System and more patrol locations on established planets like Earth and Mercury. Think European Dead Zone and Mumbai Push ;). One other thing, I don't know how many of you played Halo 3 (who am I kidding, all of you did), but if you did, remember when you hit start on your controller and Bungie Favorites popped up where you could see the best pics/videos of the week or (the name escapes me, if somebody can tell me what the name of this is I'll add the name) the system that allowed you to post whatever creations you wanted on your character and when people inspected you, they could view it. Adding this would add a uniqueness to your character and allow you to show who you are or what your interests are or your accomplishments.
PvP
Faction Wars. It could be a sort of weekly tournament (think ToO but by factions) where players can get unique faction items and the winning Faction (either by wins in a row or rank at the end of the tourney) could have a chance to give out exotics. Not to mention bragging rights. And a super-less gametype would finally give people something to scratch that arena shooter itch. Private Matches and Theater Mode. This gives the creative Destiny Community an outlet as well as being free publicity ;). Matchmaking based purely on connection strength if dedicated servers can't be a thing.
Misc.
More vehicles. There is lots of untapped potential there. Sparrow races, sparrows with weapons/armor/skins/actions, pikes on large maps, enemy dropships which drop adds during crucible matches (would be a dedicated playlist for this), tons of possibilities. This is an area I would like to see the community come up with ideas for. And maybe, but it's a long shot, an actual use for our ships. Space combat. This isn't highly requested I know, but it'd be great fun, you can't lie. This is OP's idea here, let me know what you think. Hide and Seek in crucible! Not really crucible type of game, but would have it's own playlist. The game would take place not in crucible maps, but on entire sections of a planet. 6 vs. 2, where the seekers are always invincible. The 6 players go hide while the seekers have a countdown of 30-45 seconds (maybe longer depending on size of section of planet), allowing the rest of the players to hide. Allow sparrows to make it fair for everyone to travel to a hiding spot fast, but make the sparrow not rideable for long periods of time at a time (solely for the purpose of hiders running from the seekers would never get off their sparrows until time runs out). Seekers go and search for hiders in a set amount of time, be it 5 or 10 minutes. Time runs out, team with hiders wins if not all found or killed. Rewards for the winning team could be very small amounts of motes of light or materials (weapon parts, armor materials, helium filaments, etc.) depending on which team who won (the hiders or the seeker). Like the intended purpose of Mayhem mode, this could allow the blowing off of steam by stressed out players, a nice relaxing and fun game mode. Firing range! Wasn't sure where this could go, so it'll go here. Maybe an addition to the tower; take an elevator to a seperate floor in the building that the tower sits on. The floor could have randomly generated NPC enemies that obviously wouldn't give you anything, but would provide some experience with the weapon of your choosing to practice with it. If you like it, keep it. If you don't, scrap it and buy a new one. Simple. Mini games As you mentioned, there should be more modes where guardians can blow off some steam. Here are some basic games I have come up with. Shank Jousting
Players ride back and forth in a side by side double lane. Players will have to either destroy their opponents shank, or knock them off it. Shanks could be customized with silly things such as googly eyes and smiley faces.
Sumo Survival
Players (3-8 at a time) would be placed on an isolated platform in the sky. Three Taken Phalanx would spawn in the beginning of the match, and they would be locked to the outside of the platform and try to boost you off with their shields. If you die, you are equipped with a shield in a relic like fashion, and try to knock people off. Players would be awarded with points based on standing, and the player with the most points after five rounds would win.
Thralls
This would be similar to a game of COD zombies in that Thralls would chase after you in giant hordes. More and more Thralls would spawn each round, and passing certain round checkpoints would unlock better loot pools. (Ex. Rounds 1-5 reward planetary materials, Rounds 6-10 reward Armor/Weapon Parts and Common Loot, and so on) Certain higher round checkpoints might spawn bosses to fight amidst the Thralls or modifiers. (Ex. Faster Cooldowns, More Primary Weapon Damage, etc.) Players could go solo or with a fireteam of up to six guardians. However, the more guardians, the more Thralls. Six players might get 50 Thralls in round one, whereas a solo player might only get 10.

I just want a disco room somewhere in the tower... That and a firing range.

      • Nice stuff. Especially like the city idea. We've looked down on that place and up at the Traveler since launch and we're no closer to understanding either.

          • These ideas all sound so good. I especially like the idea of private quarters where you can customize your area with "trophies" (accomplishments in the game, like for instance have a mini Atheon statue or a hive sword) and other things like that
