Bugged Enemies: Invincible or Nearly-Invincible Enemies, and Enemies that Vanish When They Shouldn't

Perhaps it was a lag issue, but it could be a bug. This morning, I ran into a few wonky things involving a few enemies out there while out on patrol. Some of the enemies were taking little-to-no damage, and others were warping/vanishing from the screen without warning. • While hunting on Earth in the Forgotten Shore, there is a Reaver Vandal that spawns near a cave just before the path that leads down to the Grotto. I encountered an issue where this Dreg was extremely tough. Damage to him was greatly reduced. With the setup I was running at the time, a headshot would normally register for 297 on this Vandal. On this bugged one however, it was only registering for 100. He soaked up 2 full clips of heavy machinegun fire, plus multiple clips of primary weapon fire, plus a super attack, before he finally died. The amount of HP he had was also greatly inflated compared to normal. Nothing was special about the loot he dropped when I finally killed him. [i][b](Edit: Confirmed as Randal the Vandal)[/b][/i] The next set of examples all happened on Venus at The Citidel, and all during Taken Invasions: • While at the Citidel on Venus, I was hunting Vex for the weaponsmith quests for this week, and during the Taken invasions, I encountered a Vex that became invincible. This Harpy appeared at the top of the hill before the bridge. It could still move, still shoot at me, but any damage I dealt to it was not registering at all. Every other enemy around the Harpy was able to be damaged as normal, however one of the Taken Minotaur Lieutenants in the vicinity did take considerably more damage to kill than normal. • Also during a Taken invasion in the same area, the event was ending entirely too fast. Lieutenants were being killed shortly after they arrived, and the Zealot was summoned, however mid-fight with the Zealot, all of the guards around the Zealot and the Zealot itself vanished without warning. The message pertaining to the Taken invasion falling back was not displayed. Many of the other taken in the area remained. • During another invasion in that area, the Zealot and 3 guards were seen under the bridge, off to the left of it as you are looking towards the exit to The Juncture. As I approached the Zealot, it and the guards vanished. They were instantly teleported to the top of the bridge in the same area. • Finally, during an invasion at The Citadel, the Taken Minotaur Lieutenants were spawning in much too rapidly. At one point, I was able to see 3 of them out at once, despite 2 having been killed prior and the Zealot not having been summoned yet.

You found [b]Randal the Vandal[/b] It's known, and he's there on purpose now. He was originally a bug, a Reaver with an insane number of hit points. People had fun killing him. Then I believe Bungie took him out, as you would expect a company to do. But there was an outcry to put him back. So he's there permanently and on purpose :-)
