Way of the Samurai (exotic hunter armor)

Hey Guys, just wanted to share my design for exotic armor. WAY OF THE SAMURAI Exotic Hunter Chest Piece "Some Bladedancers have become obsessed with the ancient ways of the sword. We call then crazy to their faces but we're all scared to death of them." - Cayde-6. Exotic Perk: Arc Edge (placeholder) change Arc Blade from Knife to sword. This requires pro/cons list plus controls. Pros: increased damage (beneficial in PvE.), defensive maneuver (Guard-Block), more reach (beneficial in PvP.), looks badass AF. Cons: decreased mobility (cannot spam the infamous Slash&Dash, lunges less) Essentially you are trading off mobility for more offensive power and defensive capabilities. Controls: (PS4) • L1: Throw Grenade • L2: Guard Block • R1: Sword Slash • R2: Super Perk (Showstopper, Razors Edge, Vanish.) Aesthetics: Ancient Samurai warrior body armor, if that wasn't appearant. Small note about the Guard Block: this was a little tricky to balance because of the nature of the Sword Block (effective against 2/3 elements but weak to the 3rd.) what I decided was to have it effect all, but maybe not to the same extent. Look, before you say it's OP, the point of it isn't to make them too scared of you coming for them, it's to make them too scared to come for you. My Portfolio: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/147136494/0/0[/quote] While I agree it would be cool, being first and foremost a hunter above all other classes, I don't think it would suit hunters. Trading a hunter aspect (mobility) off for power isn't really helpful to us. You make us a sitting duck for people with heavies, golden guns, Normal arc blades, storm caller, hammer of Sol, strikers, and pretty much everything else except for bubble titans who focused purely in defense over offense. Anyone with an impact sniper could end us as well. The ability is more of a handicap than a pro for our class. I think Titan would honestly suit this much better (Tanky, defensive job, especially with bubble). They already aren't that mobile compared to warlock and hunter, but they have the defense to make up for it. Instead of totally nerfing their mobility, and giving them an ability to block, give them an ability like Nightstalkers shade step or a short-distance blink for dodging oncoming attacks (2-3 second cool down in between). Make it an augment for hammer of Sol, changing the hammer to a sword and instead of throwing hammers, they get increased CQB melee distance at a slightly slower pace than the hammer. It would at least even out the playing field, and I'm sure some Titans would enjoy it despite the trade offs.
