Why Exactly Did Bungie "Nerf" The Nightfall?

After reading the Weekly Update at the recommendation of my clan leader, I found information that I find more or less...interesting. Apparently the Nightfall is being "nerfed". How is it being nerfed you may ask? Well the unfavorable consequence of being kicked to orbit after wiping during the Nightfall will soon be removed in the next patch. Now I often albeit, unintentionally come off as sounding to put it lightly: like an [i]arrogant elitist son of a bitch[/i]. Today, I'll try to refrain from sounding like that as I address what I think, is not only a problem, but a major slap in the face to talented players. I know Destiny's endgame content is no where near the difficulty as WOW's Raids and Dungeons. However, they still require a decent team to merit beating the content without significant difficulty. I believe removing the only part about the Nightfall that makes it an event to be taken seriously isn't a good idea and makes Destiny even less skill based than it already is and makes it an even easier game to play which really isn't going to be fun when you're someone like me who's put 1300 hours into Destiny over 5 characters and knows the game inside and out. We like a nice challenge and we demand it from a game like this. I truly don't understand Bungie's reasoning behind this decision and I certainly don't find it a positive one. If you agree with this then bump it so Bungie can see it and make the correct choices in TTK! UPDATE: Trending! Keep it up!

    I absolutely loved the Nightfall concept. Who here remembers when you couldn't exactly save progress. If you died you would have to start the level or even the game all over again. Hell, back when I was a little kid I would have to leave a system on, sometimes for days. I would be so worried about the power being knocked out or my careless parents turning the system off. The Nightfall brought that old school gaming philosophy into the "now." Although it wasn't as intense as starting a game over it was fun soloing knowing one slip up would end up in a redo. By changing this you have taken that away from many players. Why are you catering to less skilled players. Or the casual gamer? Yes it does suck for them but when has life been fair or about aiding people to rewards they didn't really earn. This whole "let's make every one feel special" mentality is a horrible sickness. It is sad to see how far it has breached into the minds of people.
