Another incidence of companies copying V.Games' weapons...
Check this out. This gun looks very alike to the Battle Rifle on H2. Its made by a leading weapons manufactuer called bushmaster. My pops currently owns an AR-15 made by them, but its nothing in comparison to this thing.

And, actually, every single sci-fi gun that's ever been in a movie has been made out of a real gun. For example, both the Pulse Rifle from Aliens and the MORITA from Starship Troopers are, actually, highly modified and dressed-up surplus M1A1 Thompson submachine guns. Yup, they're Tommy guns. Heck, even in Halo 2, you can find a very closely related real-life counterpart for all its human weapons. I actually did a comparision thing in a thread like this a lonnnnng time ago, but I'll throw it in again. I've already done the Battle Rifle. The [url=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v459/MajorMidget/halo-2-20041019010425303.jpg]Sniper Rifle[/url] looks almost identical to the South African [url=http://world.guns.ru/sniper/sn55-e.htm]NTW-20[/url] The [url=http://halo2.xwiki.com/xwiki/bin/download/ImageBank/WebHome/Pistol.jpg]Pistol[/url] is basically a [url=http://www.waffenworld.de/images/25260p99freigestellt.jpg]Walther P99[/url], which is also James Bond's replacement for the Walther PPK. There ya go.

Not only does it look nothing like the BR, but that gun was in production looooooong before Halo 2 was even in its concept stages.
