I'll be honest, I went into getting it not knowing if I would like or hate it, but I did actually enjoy it. I liked it's cutscenes and Cayed was actually pretty cool. TTK was definitely better at having a story than Destiny was at launch, and a lot of Destiny's problems were solved! It feels more like a sequel in many ways, but it does require Destiny's base game to play, and runs exactly on Destiny's servers and engine.
If anyone wants to keep playing Destiny after it's 2.0 update they need to buy TTK. Destiny is practically unplayable without it! In all honesty TTK should be a separate game instead of an expansion, because how Bungie set up Destiny's 2.0 update, everyone needs to get TTK or else they will get left behind. Seriously, Destiny and TTK would be better off if they were separate games, of course adding some more content to TTK, and maybe having some cross-game play elements to keep people playing both games. I feel like if this had happened more people would get TTK, but now a lot of people feel cheated by Bungie.
But what do you think? Did you like TTK, or is it a waste of money and time? (Of course it's a waste of time, Destiny is a time waster game for when you have nothing to do!)

I love the taken king. But the patrol quests I despise with all my heart
