What about Star Trek?
Halo vs Star Trek?
Posted by: Omnicent
Posted by: Son of Valhalla I sense that Omnicent plans on either winning or dying.
I'm such a Trekkie I'm already joansing and I just finished watching an episode. . . Plus 2 raggedy ass fleets, a few dead guys, a couple of robots and a bad cold can't compete with the dark side. . . I er, ahh. . . I mean Startrek. . .
I do like Star Trek. Really. The capital of the Federation of Planets is my home city =] But I hate how some (emphasis on SOME) its fans think that NOTHING can stand up to the supposedly impenetrable fortress that is Star Trek. I'm a hardcore fan of Halo, but I know it's not unbeatable.

Dude, stop ruling out Covenant, Forerunners, and the Flood. We all know that the UNSC sucks like hell. I'd pick Halo because of the Flood, which is unstoppable. It may be contained but nothing else, they will never die. And the Covenant/Forerunner technology is pretty damn good too, coupled with the UNSC's small portion of firepower, yeah.

Who it would also take about 3 seconds of level 10 phaser fire to reduce to dust.

Hey don't rule out MC. You've seen what he does. I'm sure the Halos should take care of EVERYBODY, including everyone from Star Trek. Owned.

But not the Borg, they are mostly cybernetic and their hive-mind would keep them more or less safe. Oh. . . And warp fields push the ship into subspace, as in, not regular space. So unless those rings effect things outside of their own space-time, the Trekies would have no trouble avoiding it. Also, fluidic space. [Edited on 05.09.2009 10:29 AM PDT]

I'm pretty sure the Halos effect everything. And, I didn't mean that the whole damn UNSC sucks, just meant that most of them do. If all of them sucked they would've lost in the Halo game unless bungie made Covenant retarded as hell. And yeah, kills everyone, but I remember that they can activate the Rings from the Ark, so that they;'re out of distance from the Halos.

And there's nothing stopping the Trekies from hanging around the ark too.

Halo,hands down

Unless of course the Haloians beat them there.

the halo's wouldn't affect Q thought so the whole Halo's kill every thing fails epically as the halo's would most likely use a radiation to kill every thing (similar to the radiation in star trek nemesis) Q isn't affected by radiation...... or macs or plasma weapons or Spartans etc etc and the whole get to the ark first Q just teleports every one to it and then teleports all the halo stuff to just before the halo's were first fired and it's game over hence on page two i said the halo's and Q should be ignored

fair enough halo craft even unsc have sheilding but i think this forum is getting verry dragged out lol
-
I would have to say Halo.
Posted by: Omnicent And there's nothing stopping the Trekies from hanging around the ark too.
Yeah there is, they gotta find it first.

Star Trek, obviously, their ships can fly faster than light, even the federations common Photon Torpedo's carries enough antimatter to obliterate a UNSC capital ship. Even the Federation alone could easily defeat the Covenant and the UNSC. I don't know about the Forerunner, but I doubt they could withstand all the factions in Star Trek if they combined. Borg (bigger than sign) Flood. (sorry, my bigger than and lesser than symbol button is broken :-s) [Edited on 05.09.2009 12:32 PM PDT]

Star Trek is farther in the future isn't it? It's not even fair

Halo, biatch! You ever read the Fall of Reach? Well you would know how powerful the Covevant ships are. Combined with the UNSC would be epic. The Spartans and Elites. the armies combined would be epic. Don't forget the Rebels, they would be of assistance

Star Trek wins. Even Plasma Torpedo's from Star Trek are more than 100 times as hot as than the tritium plasma from Covenant Assault Carriers. [Edited on 05.09.2009 12:36 PM PDT]
Posted by: Son of Valhalla
Posted by: Snitch Life I could never get into Star Trek. Probably because I wasn't born in its "glory days."
The 90's? Surely you were born right before or during it's glory days.
I was born in 92. But I thought it was really popular in like the 70's and 80's.

Spartans and Elitres wouldn't stand a chance against Herogen, Borg, Cardassians, Remans and Dominion Jemhadar. Let along if they were all unified. [Edited on 05.09.2009 12:39 PM PDT]

The halo rings have never been proven to be transdimentional in any of the canon. [Edited on 05.09.2009 12:44 PM PDT]
