XBOX 360 Taken King Update
I'm just curious how this is working. So anyone who knows the details and would be so kind as to enlighten me, I would appreciate it.
I started up the game around 1p EST and it's now going on 5p EST. I had managed to download "Compatibility Pack 8," I think it was called, and then saw it downloading "Compatibility Pack 7" now, and still is, so I'm just gauging how this works.
Is this big update being done in eight parts? If so, will my console continue to download them in the background while the console is off? I have background downloads enabled but I'm unsure if it knows to move onto Pack 6 next and so on once 7 is completed. Or will I actually have to leave my console and the game on and running until all 8 packs have finished downloading?
Any information on how this freaking update is going to work on the Xbox 360 would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

6 RepliesWhoa! This got dropped to the bottom of the list quick. I haven't seen anyone asking what I'm asking so I'm hoping someone responds soon. I really don't want to leave my 360 for hours and hours on-end to download all 8 packs. So if someone can tell me if it will continue to download in the background on its own or if I need to manually add each update to the queue and then turn off my console or something other than having to leave the game and console running for so long... Yeah, I'd really appreciate some information. Thanks.
