Weekly What's Update
Here we are at the end of another fun-filled week. New matchmaking playlists, new maps, it was crazy, that's for sure. This week, a wee bit of news about the new maps. Including screens. Because we love you.

Of course they were not designed to be trophy items, but noone looks at their ranks as a way to get matchmade against players of the same skill, we view it as a sense of accomplishment and brag to our friends that we are a 23 etc. If you don't realize that, then you don't know your fans.

The new maps look awesome. The four available for download are some of the best designs I've seen and the next five don't look like they'll disappoint.

I was just in Queensland, and the one super park we didn't go to was Seaworld. Is it any good? My Girlfriend has an irrational fear of Dolphins, despite the fact that she is a Vegetarian. The Hitchhikers Guide almost killed her! I thought, whoaaaa! You look so upset! You already hate this movie sooooooo much! But nah, she thought it was O.K. It's just that she hates Dolphins! No, all those maps look like the BEST BOARDS EVAR! I'm so happy! I Love you bungie. Everything you do makes this game better. And it was already perfect. And why can't I build the Giant drop on RCT3. The Tower of Terror works ok, using the exact speeds and height and stuff, but I can't add the gondolas for the freefalling ride to the same tower! Wait, wrong forum. I know. I'll go play Halo 2 Live! -Love Vinny

Hay great job on the new playlists I love double team and team preveiw but when do the rest of the maps come out? I heard it's soon but I wasn't sure could you give me a heads up.

Woooaah, amazing maps, i cant wait for play it!!!, Relic looks amazing, and backwash too!, that maps remeber me the halo CE, Relic remeber me the halo CE fourth mission, the silent cartographer it was an island, and the Backwash remember me the 5th mission on halo CE 343 GuiltySpark, that swarmps looks nice, cool!!

haha Relic looks like someone slapped burial mounds and the silent cartographer together...hey frankie, I know this will never happen...but wouldnt it be cool to have a red vs blue 64 on 64 CTF match on Metropolis with the blue flag being in that cat walk area at the end and the red team being on the other side of that bridge? ....simply ignore the fact that the game would never end and that there would be about 1500 kills per team after everyone quit

Well, in general, I like most of the changes. I love the addition of more battle rifle starts. I like the adjustments to grenades so frags don't bounce as much and the grenades do more damage. I like the improved damage on Brute Shots. I still don't consider them devastating, but at least now they are useful, especially playing on Headlong. The melee damage for the Brute Shot still doesn't seem as impressive as than huge blade would seem to indicate, but I guess they wanted to ensure it didn't compete with the sword. The one change I really don't like is lessening the damage on magnums. I don't have a problem getting beat down from front with most combinations when you are in close, but it really didn't seem right when I was dual-wielding magnums.

the new maps look good, but I'm curious, are they ever going to make the control room of Delta Halo(where you fight Tartarus) a multplayer level. I think most players will admit that it would be an awesome rumble pit level (especially with on swords or rockets)

nice update..love the new maps and the next few look even better! I love what you guys did with the BR, but it is kinda getting outta hand on certian maps and gametypes like WARLOCK if any one team gets the BR it is pretty easy to stop the other team from getting them... and i also wish that you had to have your flag home to score...it kinda sucks that it is just a big race to see who can score first. the flag doesnt need to be on a timer or anything, just make it touch return or something...makes the games last longer that 45 secs and makes it a challenge by forcing players to stay on defense as well as offense! cant wait to get my copy of OXM and check out the other maps and pics for myself...cause those pics were a little small!

I think Back Wash looks really nice because it looks a lot like 343 Guilty Spark from Halo 1 and that was one of my favorite Halo levels!

i rekon i think that microsoft should have a server here the connection sucs and who made the battle rifle game it sucks. australia seververs suks big time and when the yankies cheat we all have red connections bill gates put a server in australia or you will lose allot of memebers fast. The new maps are okay i guess but the portal s in worlock are screwed for 2 on 2 you can just run back and fourth. ya my friends are complaning because i'm the only one at school with the new maps. i can't wait for the disk [Edited on 5/6/2005]
