Matchmaking Update!
Tomorrow, Wednesday May 4th, we'll be updating the matchmaking playlists to inlcude the new maps, and resetting stats to even the playing field. Read on to find out more details about what to expect.

I think now Halo 2 Live is a lot better. No more Noobie combo in Team Slayer, and no more hiding the bomb or flag. I like the new Double Team and Team Preview too. I think that Bungie should also add a new Matchmaking game called TagTeam. Some of you may think its dumb but just hear me out. You and another player face two others, the only exception is that its one on one unless a player dies or "tags" his team mate. How would you tag your team mate is up to Bungie but they should think about it. I think a lot of people would find this fun.

Dude, that pretty self-explanatory. Griefing....think about it. It's one of those words you don't have to have carry around in your "diction briefcase". And that -blam!- happens because of the sensitivity of the server. It's either that or standby....I go with legit -blam!-. And your statistics are -blam!- up.....

It's simple... They reset them as you were playing because you were playing so early. It seems to me that the people who played before 12:00pm got there stats reset again. I hope I'm right...

What is griefing? I am sure I have seen it before, but I have never heard the terminology before. On another note, ever since the mandatory update to version 1.1, I have had MAJOR connectivity issues with the game (I have not played other games to see if it is just Halo or not) such as lag in 3/5 matches, dropping connection all together in about 1/20 matches and an inability to contact matchmaking servers in about 3/10 attempts (The message "We are unable to find a match for your party at this time...." pops up about a half second after I choose "Start Game"). And yes, I have recently tested my connection speed and line quality multiple times since the update and each time has tested normal or better than normal. Speed is generally 2600/220 (kbps) to 3000/280 and the line quality has 0% loss every time I test it with an average latency of 56 milliseconds to both coasts (I live in the Great Plains, making that a pretty good value for latency). I played for a continuous 6 hours yesterday and founf the Deluxe team preview a dissapointment overall. I played slayer on mostly old maps. I know it is for new game types, but I think the newer maps should be used more often. The new game varients do kick some major but though. Keep up the good work. Rugby 3

Game isn't nearly as fun anymore. Burial Mounds and Beaver Creek should are now a snipers palace between that and the BR. Close combat is almost gone on these broads.

i played slayer when stats were at level 1 then when i got to 7 you reset them lol it was funny cause i dont really care about stats but some guy were trying so hard to win and when they won i just wanna see there faces when they got to level; 1

This is stupid i was playing a team slayer game and i was level 12 and then after the game that we won i was a level 1 again and that is -blam!- because i was working hard to get my 18 back and i was on a win streak of 20 games in a row.

Latency Eh? Im from N.Ireland and i have a pretty fast connection. As a matter of fact i always get Host in matchmaking and ive never been a victim of standbyers.... So what is Latency? is it a form of lag?

Why do so many people have the same monkey in a hat avatar? anyway, i like the changes for the most part but there are a few things i dont like... and i dont think bungie will change all this stuff right away they just made an update! by the time another update comes along you will all probably have changed your minds!

I dont understand i got up to a 13 in double team then it got reset back to a 1 and none my other levels did it happened to my friend too but in team slayer. FinDin

i think the update will make halo 2 online a much funner thing because there is no more noobs with plasma/br combos and it now has more human weapons .....and glad reseted the states but i miss my legit 17........aaaa....memories ............ but it will be much funner to actually go against random people for a lot more challenges..........go bungie!

i love the updates except! for a few thing the rocket launchers due to constant rocket whorring its really taken the fun out of beaver creek and foundation it seems just aboout stupid to put rocket launchers on levels on such small levels with hardly no reason to use them for anti vehicle purposes everything is great i agree im not even mad about the stats resetting matter of fact i love playin against very high levels supposedly but putting a weapon on a level of that capacity with only two people in it seems just retarted no offense bungie you guys are doing the best you can but im just expressing wut i feel
