Matchmaking Update!
Tomorrow, Wednesday May 4th, we'll be updating the matchmaking playlists to inlcude the new maps, and resetting stats to even the playing field. Read on to find out more details about what to expect.

Bungie, go to hell. You toyed with this game too much. Making grenades stronger, ok. Paying for maps, fine I did that. Getting rid of plasma pistol, ill put up with that. Getting rid of overtime on assault, understandable. And now making Battle Rifle a starting weapon on some maps??! YOU'VE GONE TOO FAR, HALO SHOULD BE FAST PACED, ITS NOT GOD DAM GHOST REACON. YOU RUINED THE GAME!!

Head to Head has been screwed Bungie you totally contradicted yourself here "We've added King and Oddball variants to Head to Head to encourage more conflict, less hiding and more variety." Yeah ok I get the variety thing but you guys didn't help any when it comes to hiding 'cuz with the radar off people can run away quickly then hid from you and you'll be spending half the time just looking for them. I don't even get why people do it I try to get the lead and keep killing so I can end the game. I'm not a little fairy that has to runaway 'cuz I can't beat him. PLEASE BRING THE RADAR BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One thing about this, me and my friend were playing double team and we were 4's. We played another game and lost. When we got back into the pregame lobby, we were 1's again. Same thing in team preview. If this happened to you also post.

Ok my assumption wich is stated probably at least 5 times throughout this thread is the ranking system gonna be screwed up for a a day or 2 till everyones rank is reset. Myine ghas been reset twice and not like it really matters anyway cause once everything is fixed up it wont take long for you to get back to your level of skill, although it might not be the same lvl as you were before the reset but that just means you need to get better or play with people on your friends so you dont get paired with people of lesser skill who get pulled through.

I Hope bungie reads this....the Double Team game blows...it needs to be all out slayer...CAPTURE THE FLAG IS SO -blam!- AND HORRIBLLY RETARDED ON DOUBLE TEAMS...there must be something wrong or you guys dont look at the matchlist before you send them out...WTF GUYS honestly how do you do a Capture the flag on Ivory Tower...with 2 freaking people..what kind of idiots make these lists..and another thing who makes these games...ITS A BUNCH OF FREAKING AMATURES...and i can get a whole bunch of people to back my theory up YOU GUYS MADE HALO...wtf is with these "capture the flag"...horrible..i refuse to play it cause of that, i like the human selection on beaver creek though thats pretty nice but CTF is not a 4 man game its barelly a 8 man game, let alone 4. If anything you guys should categorize the list so that people can play what their good at. Were not trying to show off our skills...we're just trying to have fun but its hard to do so when we play 4 man games of 6 rounds of CTF in a row...i happen to like CTF but for 4 people....its too stupid and useless...and one more thing...in one of the earlier topics before the update came out, Bungie said their going to tone down the Battle Rifle and Plasma Pistol combo...what by making the Battle Rifle stronger...WHAT THE HELL????? The battle rifle now kills one round of bullets faster than before...how is that toning it down? Real smart..thats one way to get fans attentions...im very dissatisfied with the Dbl Team...but thats my opinion...im not going to play it again until the CTF is replaced...it should be all out slayer..cause this is pathetic and so do many other people say so too, but thats just our opinion.

dude i have played 9 games of the new double team matchmaking playlist... i won 6 out of the 9 games.. i went on bungie.net player finder and searched under my gamertag and it says im lvl 4 in double team with 9 games played with 6 wins.. Then later on, i go onto my account and it says im a lvl 1 again!!! I then checked my stats on bungie.net and it said i had no games played but yet under my games tab under my gamertag it says i have played 9 games and wut place i came in... i tried logging off and resetting my xbox and not one method changed my lvl back to lvl 4... if anyone has an answer to this mystery problem please message me or post your reply on this thread... thx alot i appreciate any (NOT FLAME IDEAS)... if the answer to this is simple im sorry.. im just new to the new matchmaking playlists just like everyone and im just looking for answers of why my lvl just vanished into thin air.... P.S. Im not just a stupid little noob that is whining about a lvl 4 i was also a high lvl before the patch (lvl 18 in team slayer)... im just looking for a logical answer so i can avoid this problem happening to me again...... What has happened here? Big mistake to reset the stats, should of just banned the level 40's through 50's. Matchmaking sucks now. Unbearible lag!! No Sudden Death, which really sucks. Its like how the hell can you grab a flag at waterworks and get it back in time, if its 1 flag ctf. Not going to have as many big team battle or skirmish wins. This has failed bigtime, terrible, just terrible. Even my stats are messed up. I played 10 double team games, winning 6 or the 10 and for over 5 hours now, it says i have 2 wins in 4 games. Idk what is wrong, but this thing is sure messed up. Im through with halo 2, im going to go play something better!!!!

The ranking actually isn't that bad if you're smart. Just play with people that you are friends with and you stand a better chance of winning, since you know you won't get paired up with some random dude that sucks. I just played some though, and its sweet...they added Battle Rifles as a starting weapon for certain sets (Human BR on Colossus was the gametype) and the 2v2 is sweet as well. I've gotta say though that Dual Duel or Deuces would have been a cooler name, but great work Bungie!

is there no way of tweaky the update so it tiggers off a small bomb inside the chief's armour whenever the player pull out either a rocket laucher or sword?...please...

WOW this new update is stupid as hell. What is the point of starting with battle riffles on burial mounds. If you got a sniper your screwed because they can just B-riffle the crap out of u. Also when your driving in a warthog they just shoot at u for bout 10 seconds and you die. This has got to be the stupidest thing ive ever seen.

I wouldn't count on rankings stabilizing until tomorrow. Part of the reason I thought it was a bad idea to dive right in is b/c the reset seemed like it would be ongoing throughout today. It appears it has been, to the frustration of many. Relax, guys. You've lost a few hours, but you had fun playing, right? And that's what it's about. Play the game. Kill the opposition. Rankings will sort themselves out. What screws you, screws everybody else, too. It'll even out. Just don't count on it being today. BuYou

some thing cheesy is going on, me and my friend played 5 2vs2 games today and we won all of em, after the 5th game that we beat we moved down to level 3!! i dont know but everything is cheesy today. WTF

I've discovered that I get booted from games a lot more since the new updates. If I accidentally hurt one of my teammates, and then the other team kills them, I get booted. I'm not very good at Halo yet, so I hit my teammates on accident quite a bit. What's up with this crap?!?!

I hate what your doing with the ranks, wow I have more people to play with but they are all way better than me, Now I have to wait until they weed themselves out and rank up until I can play with people my own skill level!

Yea tell me about it. They have now reset mine 3 times today. I am going to stop playing it...they are really pissing me off.
