Have you ever wanted to spice up this game with flare? Do you have too much team spirit but don't know how to let it out? Hi there. I have come with an idea so revolutionary, it may change the Halo experience forever.
I have come up with a solution to forever change the gameplay in Halo 3. It is called Press B to highfive. How does this work you say? Well, whenever you pass a teammate in the game, an option will appear (Just like to get into a vehicle) to press B to highfive. Please note that this may differ with controller setups, however I am sticking to the default settings for now. The beauty of this option is that your teammate, has the option to "deny" your request for a highfive, by just passing you. This lets you know the trust rating of that teammate, and how likely you will be betrayed for him in the rocket launcher. Also note that this option would work in vehicles as well.
Allow me to offer some examples. Say you are doing the annual run, and whilst in the air jumping toward the Dawn, you and your teammate highfive each other in the ghosts. All right! Or, you just saw your teammate rack a sweet overkill with his shotgun. Yea! But what if your teammate betrayed you for the sniper and then tried to high five you later? Denied! The versatility of this option is endless.
P.S. If I wake up and find this option implemented, I will send every person at Bungie 20 dollars. Yea, I know thats a lot of money, but its worth it!
Note: Please take notice that the P.S. in this post may or may not apply.
Posted by: Fiesta Zombie My question is, would it be like a full scale animation of a High Five, or just the words appear in bright green lettering, "HIGH FIVE!"?
Hopefully an animation could be implemented somehow. Someone mentioned earlier of a possible way to do this I believe.
Posted by: YoJimbo117 Could I high-five the other team? If he gets an extermination I want to run up and congratulate him.
You'd be dead!

What if someone decides to contsantly tap B to high five me when I don't want to?
-
I'd map it to the reload button (RB by default) just so we don't hit a teammate by accident... but I love the idea.
-
I propose that if someone wishes to high five you you get three options. 1) Participate in the high five. 2) Deny it. 3) Round house kick em in the head John Statham style. This way you can get back at problem players in a sweet way without having to betray them.

YES!! this would be teh SHWEET!!

I support this.

You have opened my eyes to a whole new world!
-
Sirus... youre a genius, that would be freakin cool
-
Ahh but if he gets an extermination, you sir would be dead. I say YES to the highfive! Instead of the tea-bag you can just highfive your teammate over his dead body, haha.
-
Another applicable use for this feature would be to have it the postgame lobby, so you can show off how many high fives you got in the game!

Sweetness Press B To HighFive!! YEA
Posted by: O8LIV3R8 What if you go to melee a guy and you highfive a teamate?
Well, what better way to embarrass the enemy by highfiving your teammate first?

You make a very valid point, but that would make a funny clip. "bye man" "see you on the other side" then dead
Posted by:DarthSirus Do you have too much team spirit but don't know how to let it out? Hi there.
Oh, hi there. =) Anyways, that would be a cool idea. But, it may have some malfunctions such as this: What if there is a really close firefight inside a bubble shield on Sandbox and your backed against a wall. You and a teammate are inside the shield and two enemies are waiting outside the shield and an enemy chopper attempts to splatter one of you two and misses. This is your perfect opportunity to hijack so both of you press B and instead of hijacking, you high five each other, right before the enemy comes in and gets a double kill...
-
I do press B to high five, I high five people all the time... Though the guardians don't like it and they say "Betrayal" and other times they're nice and give me medals, like beatdown or assassination. Sarcasm aside, this is a really good idea, bungie should look into something like this.
-
Posted by: Tundon Me and my friends jst melee each other shouting high five anyways... :)
We do that as well lol. You sir are brilliant! If this was implemented I would send you $20, and a High Five!
