Should I give Destiny a second chance?
I currently do not own Destiny and haven't since I sold my limited edition a month later after receiving my preorder. I'd like to make this post longer but I'll keep it short and simple. With what I hear is coming with The Taken King; new ghost voice actor, added cutscenes and story-stuff, etc. It sounds like Destiny is turning into the game I wanted it to be from day one. However, I'm unsure about supporting this. What do you guys think? Should I give Destiny a second chance or move on to something else?

I unfortunately have already preordered out of hopes of what it would be. After paying $60 for the game, more for the expansion pack, and another $40 for the Taken thing I regret it. The game has become a pointless mindless repetitive failure. There is nothing pulling you in to make you want to play unless you like the PVP bunny hopping and shotgunning like Halo, COD, and others. This new game (not really an expansion) from what i have heard is changing every thing up to make it more appealing to the COD kiddies. All the money, time, and effort put into it is all basically being wiped out. The old guns are going to be obsolete, the old armor obsolete. I would give my copy away if it was not a digital download. Reviews can be bought or paid for, fanboys will trash anyone who criticizes the game. Destiny gave the players the middle finger and laughing their way to the bank. This is going to be my filler until Fallout 4 comes out. At least Bethesda has always been about the player like very few others. Once it comes out Destiny is being removed for good and will never buy a bungie game again.

Vanilla destiny sucks, hands down, no questions asked. But its turning into a game well worth playing

If you're on the fence, wait for the reviews. If you're like me and just love playing the game, absolutely.!! Fact is, this game will be ever evolving, for the better IMO. I'm sticking with it, regardless. It's simply one of the best games I've played.

Wait till after TTK comes out and look at reviews. Bungie has been full of sh!t about a lot of things in the past 2 expansions.

I think it was a bad idea to sell it in the first place. Game is outstanding as is and is just going to keep being improved. Better than half the shit out there now.

Why did you stop playing it in the first place? The story missions in a game like this really do not matter. The main bulk of playing time is spent doing non-story stuff. So, if you left because of repetition of the same thing, or because you didn't like the gameplay, etc, I wouldn't bother with a second shot.

I would recommend it. I agree, it wasn't what it was supposed to be, but I've been playing since day one (with a couple breaks) and the dlc is fixing it. I would recommend though if you are thinking if getting it to wait for the legendary edition. Comes with everything

Wait for the reviews of TTK if you're unsure. If you're confident you will enjoy it, go for it.

I would wait until the taken king comes out and buy the 60 dollar version that comes with the whole game, expansions and all. You will also get a consumable item that will allow one guardian to become a high enough level to start the missions and such. Plus all of the new content they're adding. It will be interesting to see how they do it. The new expansion is close to the size of the original game. I think it is worth it to pick it back up.
