I've been smoking marijuana on and off for around 8 years now. Never have I sold anything to buy pot, attacked someone on pot, lost my teeth due to pot, or generally had any negative side effect from pot other than an appetite.
-
How so?

More readily available and a sensitized opinion makes it able to take over someone's life and detract their interests to it rather than important issues.
-
That's why it would be heavily regulated and you could only use it in the comfort of your own home. It can help with anxiety, depression, cancer and studies show it can help with bone fractures.

Edited by The Cellar Door: 7/31/2015 2:49:45 PMPlease, if it's illegal and people do it anywhere they please, the legality of it will hardly be a deterrent. In addition to this, it's just begging to be easier to get for kids, as if it wasn't easy enough already. With medicinal strains often times being stronger, this can cause a bigger problem with brain development than previously seen.
-
Where I live, it's already easier to get weed than alcohol. Dealers don't tend to ask for ID.
-
Omg, finally someone that sees it the way I do
unless you're trolling. I can never tell lol
-
Where do you live? Right now getting weed as a minor is WAY easier than getting alcohol, a controlled substance. If anything legalizing it would make it harder for kids to get weed. As they would need to be a certain age just like alcohol. And drug dealers will be out of a business, so they won't be selling it anymore.

Edited by LiamCDM: 7/31/2015 2:52:14 PMKids underage drink so should we ban alcohol? The War on Drugs is a waste of money and has been a complete failure.
-
So we should just legalize everything and lead our kids to become puppets of substances? Disgusting.
-
No, but weed may as well be legal since a majority of people have tried it and millions of people are in prison because of drug crimes.
-
Okay and they deserve to be in jail. It's clearly a law, and they were clearly knowledgeable of breaking said law. Whether or not you agree with law is not the problem. The problem is that they went against a clear rule.
-
It's costing the country a lot of money though, and the crimes aren't even that bad. If you research it, you'll find that weed may as well be legal.
-
Edited by The Cellar Door: 7/31/2015 3:41:16 PMThere are more pressing matters that are costing our country much more money than convicts charged with possession/distribution of marijuana. All we need is a bunch of stoned people to be distracted to forget about this issues.
-
Like I said, you'd only allowed to be stoned in your home.
-
And you actually believe that would be enforceable? You must be more of a stoner than I thought.
-
Well, tobacco and alcohol laws are very similar and they're enforced to an extent. You can't stop everyone from underage substance use but you can limit it.
