I Hate Exotic Gear Rolling

I don't know how everyone else feels about this, but I really hate it that exotic armor has a rolling range for stats. Now don't get me wrong, I don't mind that different stats can be rolled, but having two of the same piece with the same stat(s) and one being definitively better is not cool. Exotic gear is hard enough to get, and rolling a crappy version of the piece you want is the biggest bummer ever. There is ENOUGH RNG in this game as it is, so up vote this or leave your comments if you agree, disagree, whatever. I'd like Bungie to know how badly I hate this element of the game... Same goes with raid gear, but it's a little easier to get than exotics, especially now that there are so many exotic items. I mean guns are all the same until you CHOOSE to roll/reforge their stats. That's on you now. I could live with that much easier than the only version of The Ram I got out of 25 engrams being at the lower end of the possible stat roll. Just sucks.

I actually like it. It's one of the few things where putting time in and min/maxing actually matters. It's also not overboard as while it does make a difference the actual effect in game in minimal.

    • I'm not sure if I exactly follow what you're saying, but it would be nice if there was an option to take a duplicate piece of gear (let's say you have a fully maxed 122 Glasshouse and then get a 144 Glasshouse that you want to level) and then "apply" the maxed Glasshouse to the new one to max it. That would negate the duplicate grind of maxxing out a piece of gear just for the extra 20 intellect / discipline / strength. But then again, that would also limit the amount play time needed to max out gear and "grind", so Bungie would never do that....
