Hello, Guardians!
A few months ago, I made a video about Destiny's version of Mars, and how it compares to the real world Mars. I also tried to solve the distance to Phobos after the Cabal modified its orbit.
It's a great watch, and I recommend it to you. (https://youtu.be/ZGrNvRAiybU)
At the end of the video, I promised a part 2, and I've finally finished it. I refine the numbers from part 1, and gain information from the Black Shield Crucible map on Mars Moon, Phobos. I would appreciate any of your time! Thank you!

I rather enjoyed that Crucible bit. A+ comic relief, it really worked out well. :D

SCIENCE!

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this video. Definitely in my top 10 Destiny videos that I've seen. I'd love to see one for venus.

It is a game and It is a sci-fi game, as I am sure many of us know many sci-fi developers do not strive for realism but they strive for fun so this nit-picking is really uncalled for.

so what I'm hearing is, Bungie didn't do their homework.

First off, I'd like to say thank you for making these videos. It's so great to see other fellow gamers that are passionate about what they love. I loved physics in high school and I was always decent in math, so this video really reached out to me (the editing was fantastic also). Being that this is a video game, the math isn't always going to be perfectly aligned with reality (which probably goes without saying). But that's OK, it's probably better that way to be honest. I learned a little more about the Destiny backstory, mainly with the train station segment. If Bungie would explain things like this in game it would be amazing. Let us know where and why we are fighting, in detail. Most people might just ignore the dialogue, but the few like us would love to hear it all. The main thing I took away from this was the perspective. Most people look up and don't realize the insane amount of distance that is in space. And to those that might not have a great view at the sky (in the city), Destiny is a way to reach those distant planets. I would love to watch more videos like this from you. Keep up the great work guardian!

Dude. http://nasajobs.nasa.gov Please.

Wait. I thought the vex were distorting the looks of planets and the sun. Making them appear closer than they actually are. I could be totally wrong on that but I remember reading something like that. I also don't recall the reading about cabal changing the size of Phobos? Like I said. I could be totally wrong.
