TIRED OF IDLE PEOPLE IN STRIKES (WEEKLY HEROICS)

FOR PEOPLE WHO DON'T WANT TO READ MY ESSAY, SKIP TO THE BOTTOM FOR THE SHORT VERSION (NOTE 1: I permalinked the game I just played with the person who sat idle to show the proof) (NOTE 2: I made this post because I was unable to report this person in game since he quit at the end, and his name didn't appear on the rewards screen) I know this isn't the 1st time it's happened and I know ppl have complained about this topic quite a bit already, but I'm making a new post about idle people in strikes because I've just had to endure the weekly heroic strike with one idle person, and for what? I get the free rewards thing (which is dumb because enough ppl report ya for this behavior and ya eventually get banned), but how is it fun doing it multiple times in a row when you don't get the strange coins/engrams? Why do these people feel the need to join and do this? Are they trolling? What I mean is the fact that I had this dude sitting idle til sepkis prime showed up, then he killed 4 dregs at the very end. I checked his bungie.net account, and it turns out, he literally played another weekly heroic with the same exact hunter, and got ZERO kills!! I didn't look further back into his past games beyond that, but if today was the 1st time he did the weekly with his hunter, he literally completed it right before my match, and didn't even kill anything!! (here's the permalink to that weekly game he played right before mine that shows he got no kills and already completed the weekly: https://www.bungie.net/en/Legend/PGCR?instanceId=2967363479&characterId=2305843009262722803). The sad/messed up part about this is that I can only deduce that since he got his weekly heroic rewards on his hunter, the only reason he was in my match sitting idle was to troll people, and me and the other random that was in the match had to suffer. Honestly, I prefer to solo weekly heroics and nightfalls, so when the decision to throw matchmaking into the mix with the weekly heroics came out, I was kinda bummed. This is EXACTLY why I was bummed... I knew the people who love going idle in regular vanguard strikes would do the same in the weeklies, and they still do. I really wish there was an option to do solo or matchmaking weekly heroic games... I could just avoid people like this. The point to all of this isn't that I couldn't handle the strike with just 2 ppl, but it's the fact that when these people sit idle, they ruin it for a fireteam who actually needs that 3rd person to help out. Furthermore, we all know RNGesus often rewards the person on the team with the least amount of kills, so when this kind of person comes along, they'll usually be the ones to get a legendary engram instead of the people who actually put in work. But the sad thing about my match was that not only did he sit idle, he already completed the weekly right before my match, which means he literally had ZERO reason to join my game and sit idle.... unless he was obviously trolling the fireteam.... which is exactly what I believe he was doing because there was literally zero incentive for him to be in that match. I know this post is too long just to say a few simple things... but still, I want to raise awareness when new guardians like him come along and think they can take the easy way out to win a game, or even worse, sit idle just to make everyone else suffer since he already completed his weekly. I added the permalink of the game I played with him, and I also added the permalink of the game he played with another fireteam right before my match, to prove he is just trolling people out there. I know posting his full gamertag is wrong, so just in case you can't tell who the person was that basically had no kills is, his name contains the "Become Legend" catch phrase. Bungie, I would've reported him a 1000 times in game if I wasn't doing all the work and I knew I couldn't report him later, but I just assumed his name would appear on the rewards screen regardless of when he quit (he quit as soon as sepkis prime died and dropped the ether seeds). You need to make it so that anyone who played a strike with you (even if they quit) appears on the end screen so things like this can be avoided. He was obviously counting on people not reporting him til the very end since everyone was doing the work for him and couldnt stop mid game, and he also knew he wouldn't appear on the the final rewards screen, which allowed him to get away with being idle and no one got the chance to report him. I hope someone from Bungie reads this and takes action on people like this. If you had to change the way weekly heroics are played (solo or matchmaking), you should've also added in an option to allow us to decide whether to do matchmaking or not. People are always going to cheat the system and screw over other legit players. It's your job to either give us more options so we can avoid people like that, or at least change the way matchmaking gets set up.... like.... if people who sit idle try to do weekly heroics, they should be paired up with other guardians who love going afk/sitting idle. If you won't add extra options to allow us to do certain activities solo, you should at least change the way matchmaking searches for other players so they get a taste of their own medicine. You've hit your year anniversary now; you can do a lot more to make sure the loyal fan base doesn't suffer due to kids like this who still think that they can come along and troll people and take advantage of the system. Please do something with this person and please add a solo/matchmaking feature to weekly heroics. tl;dr : Played a weekly heroic with someone who intentionally sat idle. I checked their bungie.net acct. and found out they completed the weekly with the same guardian/hunter right before my match. This person had no reason to play the weekly with that same hunter again, so I believe he was trolling people. I attached the permalink from my match with this person's stats & I also added the permalink to the match he played right before my match to prove he was idle in their match as well (just look at his kills). He already got his rewards, so the only reason he was there was to troll people. I couldn't report him since he quit right before the rewards screen, so his name didn't appear, so we couldn't report him. Bungie needs to take action on new guardians who continue to use this old bs tactic and either add a choice to have solo or matchmade weekly heroics, or give these afk people a tase to their own medicine and have matchmaking pair them up ONLY with other people who love to go afk/sit idle. PLEASE UPVOTE THIS POST TO RAISE AWARENESS AND TO MAKE BUNGIE REMEMBER THIS IS STILL A PROBLEM!! Please add any like stories and add a permalink of a match you had with some idle/afk guardians who have been consumed by the darkness. Thanks!!

-blam!- people who are useless throughout most of the strike and then get the legendary engram, just happened to me, whats the point of reporting them, if they dont get kicked and/or replaced during game
