Why do you fanfire TLW?

Now, I'm no gun nut, but you fan the hammer of TLW. Isn't that reserved for a single action where you have to manually pull the hammer back? TLW appears to be a double action though because if you slightly pull the trigger you can see the cylinder and hammer start to move without you pulling the hammer back. So what's up with that? Tl;dr- I have no idea what action TLW is. Maybe a space magic action.

  • It looks like a double action, but you can manually cock any double action to turn it into a single action. USUALLY you do this to reduce trigger pull weight, and thus improve accuracy. It takes more force on the trigger to both cock the action and then release it. This force, especially when firing fast, can easily pull the aim of the gun off of dead center. Single action, on the other hand, is generally a very light, glass-break feeling trigger. Cycling a double-action into a single-action gives you that feeling, and if you are target shooting, then it's more precise - not because it makes the gun itself more accurate, but with less force on the gun from the operator's finger on the trigger, it won't move off of the aiming point as often/easily. Hope that made sense...
