  • Yeah i guess so. Im mostly interest in what happened to the forest area as it was shown so much. Some of the mechanics and upgrade stuff i can see that maybe it wouldnt have worked for one reason or another.

  • The biggest reason is simply activision set a deadline and bungie didn't have the talent to meet it with finished content. Then what they did have got chopped up to be finished later in dlc.

  • Well to be honest they stated they were working on it for the past 4 years in I believe the first ViDoc and thats double the average call of duty has. Possible but I don't feel like its likely.

  • Most of that was building the engine. Watch the gcd gcd I forget the order but g(cd/dc) 2015 destiny spot on YouTube. All that development time was pretty much devoted to the engine not the actual game development

  • Oh alright. I guess that'd make sense for alot of it. Still though kinda unrelated but i know i keep coming back to it they showed alot of the forest area nearly every trailer/video had it. I would if it was just chopped out to fit with the redone "story"

  • Probably was a test world they built then never developed in the final game world. A lot of games do that. They will build a sandbox that never makes it to the final build to test everything in. Forests are actually favored to test environment physics due to the layered textures and different parts to animate etc. At least that my best guess
