The Taken King Issue

Okay Bungie, I understand the whole 40 dollars for the taken king, but the low price of 60 for new players I do not(nor the collectors edition prices) I understand this as a technique to appeal to new players who have grown interest in the destiny game and to appeal to them. However, we as day one supporters, as well as others who have gotten the game and the expansions before the taken king announcement, should get more benefits and recompense for helping to shape the destiny world into what it has become. Whether in the form of additional in game content, besides those already promised for VIP rewards, or in more money new players need to pay or less for old day one "veteran" guardians, or any other form of benefits you can think of.

  • There is something to be said about games being cheaper as time goes on. I.E.-How long after Titanfall came out at $60 did the price drop to $40? I paid $95 for the game and the season pass and now you can get those two things for $75 ( $40 for the game $35 for season pass) however, I've had 10 months of enjoyment playing all that content. We all now this is the way it works, the same is true for movies, books, clothes etc.... What is absolute bull***t is that some one just getting the game for the first time pays less for content that is new to EVERYONE, OR getting stuff that I don't get or can't get unless I buy the entire game and DLC AGAIN. New players are already getting the core game and first two dlc cheaper they shouldn't get rewarded for not buying the game a year later. And that's what the exclusive in game stuff is in the collectors edition. It's Bungie saying, "here is some cool stuff that no one else has because you didn't give us your money a year ago like those other saps who pre-ordered back in 2014." Who is in charge of maketing and price point at that company? Are they insane? You're rewarding people for not buying your game?
