Part 1
So here is what I was thinking: given the proposed ten year story line, a problem that some may have missed struck me. Kids that have not even been born yet will possibly be playing this game at the end of its glory. Likewise, they will play with their devious little fingers that will far outreach the capability of mine, slaughtering tenfold the amount of enemies that my weathered hands could.
So what I propose is something that will give me satisfaction enough to deter me from that dreadful embarrassment. A seed.
But not just any seed, no. A seed affected with the boons of the Traveler itself (for it would make sense that some life around the Traveler was affected, not only humans). And upon joining the game, you plant your seed in your own abode atop the Tower. As the decade passes and you grow your character from a Last City refuge to a true Guardian of power, your tree grows as well. Ethereal in nature, it hosts part of the power of the Traveler, same as you. Only its attributes are solely cosmetic; shimmering with light, rays occasionally bursting from cracks in its light blue bark. Obviously, this would just be for show. So when that ten year old throws its hip lingo trash talk at me, I can take him (or her) to my tower and show them what it is like to be a true veteran on one of the greatest realities to have ever been built.
This is just my idea, please post any other progressive attributes that would give us a hand over the next generation! :)
Part 2
Before moving onwards, please skim over the original post and the comments if you want a more detailed version. Original post here! Now let us move onwards... Ive kept close tabs to all of your ideas and suggestions and tried to compile it into a visual translation along with a poll. YAY!
The air, it is different here. I cannot place my finger quite on what it is... I press onwards regardless, through massive fronds and vines that are obscuring my path. The path widens, it becomes much easier to navigate this harsh land. I can see my destination ahead of me.
The Guardian's Door. Even though it is modern in appearance, towering scores of meters tall and wide and composed of a foreign gray-black substance, the vines and trellises have done a fantastic job melding it into its surroundings. I found it almost peculiar how the tiniest of vines have found their way into the crevices of the engravings splayed across the entirety of the Door. It was fitting. It belonged. The moment of truth has arrived. I step closer, remove my helmet and let it fall from my hands, and breathe heavily... Nervously. The condensation of my breath clings to the face of the Door, but only for a moment, then it is gone. I raise my bare hand, trembling, and begin to move it forward. Closer... Closer...
It feels colder than I expected it to, given the time of day and tropical setting, I expected it to sear my hand. My heart skips a beat. It didn't work! But just as I had nearly lost faith, a sharp jolt of electricity strikes my palm! From where I made contact, a dull blue light shimmers across the face of the Door, not unlike the ripple effect seen when you drop a stone into a lake. Only the light is increasing in frequency and intensity, until nearly the entire Door is bathed in blue light! Its beautiful! And then its gone.
I await. And finally, I hear it. The soft sound of the internal components moving is reassuring. I step back and watch. The door seems to fold into itself, leaving an opening roughly the same size and shape as the doors back home. Home... It has been a long time. But soon... Never mind that, I can see my destination.
The Ethereal Grove. My eyes well up at the sight of it. It is much more beautiful than the stories and my imagination could have ever painted. As far as my eyes can see, Guardian's trees tower in different stages of development. I see saplings, with their young, hopeful auras. And those towering Ancients! Magnificent to behold! I walk towards the closest one, to discover what I might about it's owner. Engraved in that gorgeous blue bark is the name the Guardian bestowed upon it. Freyja. Im unsure to its origins, but it clearly meant a lot to it's owner. And right next to that engraving is an old assault rifle, I don't bother touching it, it wouldn't matter. I look up, high up in the branches I see tendrils of blue playing amongst the foliage. The Sjinrah, or memories of the Guardian. I find myself already moving my hand towards the base of the tree, and as soon as I make contact, the Sjinrah all rush across the bark and into me! My mind's eye is flooded with the experiences and memories of the owner of this tree, if I focus, I can see specific instances. Glorious battles. Depressing reminders. Views from the top of the Tower. A friend. I release my hand, and a tear falls from my eye. This. This is beauty. It is my time.
I venture through the forest for a little while longer. I have found a place, nice and open, surrounded by the young and the old. I reach into my bag and remove a small black silk bag. Releasing the contents onto my palm. My seed. From the moment it touches my skin it glows blue, like they do. Otherwise unremarkable, for now. I get on one knee and stoop lower. I do not have to dig deep. Sowing my Destiny into this land, amongst others. There's something about it. And it did not take long for me to realize. I belong. This is my home. This is beauty. This... Is my Destiny.
And there you have it! I hope you all like it, I did not put much time into it, as time is not something that I have much of. So I kinda just poured my imagination into it. I hope that it is understandable. So now its poll time! Please vote and if you have any more ideas please add them in the comments below!

Part 3
Hey all!
Me again, I do believe a few of you are aware of my previous Ethereal Tree posts. And Id just like to start with this--man, this game is awesome!
I don't believe that our idea made it into the game entirely. But, we may or may not have had an effect on some in-game items! Hear me out.
So in the second part of the Ethereal Tree story, the Guardian goes on an adventure to do what? Plant the seed to his ethereal tree. What is a drop that we can receive from fallen enemies, you ask? Ether Seeds.
#omgdidIchangeDestiny?
I mean I may be running down the rabbit hole, and it may just be sheer, dumb coincidence. But I like to think that we made a difference to the game. How cool is that?
Lemme know just how crazy that may seem.
Cheers,
