Non DLC users locked out of nightfall or weekly heroic strike 4th week running
There have been 4 weekly resets since the release of HoW and if you've not bought the DLC you running out of luck. Bungie have decided to force the hand of the players who have decided to not buy the DLC by locking us out of either the nightfall or the weekly heroic with every weekly reset.
Bungie always speak from the perspective of the DLC users and never acknowledge what non DLC users are meant to do when we are locked out. It's obvious that bungie are either too lazy to fix this, don't know how to fix this or just want to force our hand to buy a very lame expansion with largely re-skinned weapons and bosses.
I would have rather bungie make a DLC worth buying and then see it fly off the shelves based on its own merits rather than coerce the exisitng destiny users into buying it. Perhaps they are aware that the DLC is nothing impressive and therefore need to resort to pressure tactics.
Either way, thanks to bungie's anti consumer policies the bottom line is non DLC users lose access to content we have already paid for.
Bungie, make it fair for everyone or stand up and say that that's not the kind of developer you are and your DLC users always come first and non DLC users don't matter.
Nightfall and weekly heroic strikes for us all. Every week. No exceptions.
Addendum
I would suggest a featured nightfall and weekly heroic mission in each dlc and the original game. The more dlc you have the more weekly strikes you have. Similar to how you can do both VoG and Crota each week.

DLC users. Did you ever wonder why you didn't get an extra nightfall and weekly heroic with each DLC the count is still one regardless of your payment? Seems a bit like a rip off?

I'd say Bungie are catering to the majority. Most people still playing Destiny probably bought the DLC and they'd be pissed if the Nightfall and Weekly were constantly old content. Unfortunately you're in the minority on this one.

6 RepliesIt was like that for Dark Below. It's like that for HoW. It's going to be like that on any new dlc that comes out. What every happened to fixing your own problems instead of crying about it, hoping that someone will fix it for you? I didn't have Dark Below when it came out. I couldn't do the weeklies. What did I do? I bought the dlc. If you don't want to buy the dlc, I guess you don't want to do the weeklies that bad.

I bought the dlc so this might seem biased, i think they should have 2 different nightfalls each week they do a dlc strike as a nightfall, the dlc strike should say, give 50 more reputation for completing it as a way of giving a little more back to the players who bought the dlc, the same goes for the weekly, but maybe 10-11 sc instead of 9

Very simple fix.....buy the DLC. I've owned elder scrolls series since the apple II E and I'm not bitching about not getting the elder scrolls online for free.

3 RepliesWhat? What are you talking about. You make no sense. You mad because you can't do the nightfall? You didn't support the DLCs so you can't do it. Why would they cater to you at all? You reaped the benefits of the first installment and you got to do everything. You did not buy any DLC but you can ascend your items to level 34 and compete in iron banana. You chose not to support the Game by buying DLCs then you have to deal with it because that just how it goes. It wouldn't be fair to us to limit the nightfalls because the people who didn't want to pay for the extra content is holding back the diversity. They are catering to us right now. So we will get all the love and you will just have to sulk. It's not our fault, it's not Bungie's fault, it's yours and the choice to not buy the DLC. Good night

1 ReplyWow! There are some dlc elitist in this thread. How is it too much to understand that the original content should still be there for non dlc purchasers? They clearly should still have a nightfall and weekly to play just like anyone else. It should be from the original content only while those who have the dlc's get to play the new content. This is just laziness and cash grabbing from bungie!

4 RepliesI was in the same boat until I bought HoW I thought I wouldn't regret the purchase but I couldn't have been more wrong, if you haven't bought DLC save yourself time and heartache and sell or trade it, don't buy the DLC all your going to get is reskin(recolored) weapons with different names, "new" content on old maps there aren't any new cinematics just audio and text which the script probably took less than 5 days to make. its just garbage, even after you get past the paywall(by buying shitty DLC) you then have to deal with elitism in the form of (MAX GALLY, MAX EVERYTHING) or the "ONLY WANT FLAWLESS" dumbasses so you are yet again barred from content until you meet their ridiculous requirements which will be a very long time since the latest upgrade material "Etheric Light" is more scarce than anything in the game it hardly ever drops the only real guaranteed way to get it is to wait for Iron Banner (without having to waste hours upon hours on LFG trying to get into the 34 and 35 PoE) or hoping it drops on the nightfall, or trials.

10 RepliesIn the UK the expansions cost £20 each, that's more than $60, the price of a new game. This isn't about new content vanilla users don't have access to, that's perfectly fine. This is about content that was available until the DLC and then stripped out and placed behind a paywall. This is essentially Bungie holding content you've payed for hostage until you buy their woeful DLC (that was already on the disk and then resold to you for the price of a new game). After some time, they will release a dlc to those who want even more content. Bying dlc doesnt mean that it will affect to those players who dont want to buy dlc. In MMORPG games it goes like this. - You dont pay, you can still play the content you have paid originally - If you are willing to pay, you can play that content you originally bought + [b]that new content you bought.[/b] Bungie is tupid and desided that every player have acces to single weekly heroic and nightfall strike, meaning that those who dont have the dlc, cant play weekly heroic or nightfall some times. They should seperate dlc players and non dlc players. Think this like in Call of Duty. You buy a map pack, so you unlock a new playlist where you can play only those new maps. You can still go back and play the old ones. The players who didnt buy the map pack, cant play those new maps, but you can still enjoy the stuff you bought for 40-60$. Everyone who is saying "buy the dlc" are just [u][b]morons.[/b][/u] You cant force others to buy stuff to play the actual game. Now im just waiting for rage responses :).

By your logic, the people who actually set aside the extra money to purchase the DLC should therefore NOT be allowed to experience their new product within the base game's endgame activity? Is it true that it sucks for non-DLC owners, yes, it does. But come on, this is an MMO style game, of course the new content is going to be featured.

If you want to play every aspect of the game then you should buy every dlc. Nothing strange happening here.
