I can guarantee you that Bungie actively investigates network manipulation and other forms of cheating. We will continue to monitor game performance for people abusing the system and enforce our policies. As mentioned in the past two Weekly Updates, we've already dealt with a number of players who were confirmed to be cheating in one form or another. Rest assured that we will continue to do so.

Edited by GIRZIMDIB: 7/31/2015 12:45:57 PMThere seems to be a growing consensus of players wanting a minimum required ping in order to play pvp, and I agree wholeheartedly that anyone without the bandwidth to support this game with minimal latency shouldn't be allowed to connect. Region locking, dedicated servers, and the like, would greatly be appreciated, lord knows you have the money. The upwards of $100 players have spent on this game and the expansions across all 4 consoles and you can't provide a stable virtually latency free player experience kind of makes me mad. especially since you expect people to shell out more $ for TTK. Seems every match I get thrown into is full of people in other countries and all that does is cause latency issues. Especially in trials, which is why I refuse to play trials beings how all it is, is incentivised cheating. The very least you can do is allow the player to only play people in their own country, or even better, their own state, especially during something like trials where even the most minute latency is a problem. Considering that you want trials to be competitive and only "the best of the best" will be rewarded . All I have left to say is your network infrastructure just wasn't well thought out, and you owe your fans better then that. I just think your network should be a higher priority then "weapon balancing" ( we all know no one uses anything but thorn, so balancing isn't an issue when your thorn does the same amount of damage as the enemy's thorn.)

Not one to normally complain but your game is almost unplayable. I own it on both xbox and playstation they are equally bad. Blatant lag switching and players with very poor connection though out. Almost one year in and weapons are still not balanced and I have no hope for the new update truly fix the problems. In my line of work I appreciate when my customers give me a chance to fix a problem but if the problem continues I don't keep those customers for long

Also I read many noobs that have satelite internet.... or worse... they say themselves they have ping 900 MS ... how the fook do you allow these people to play PVP ?????????????????????? That is almost 1 full second of lag... unaccatable!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess that is the reason xbox doesnt show PING ... you would know how much you get screwed ! I know for a fact that satellite internet won't even connect to the Destiny servers. I have one we use in our rec house and it won't connect.

Well honestly it takes time to investigate... but mostly I agree... but expecting them to get banned from next match is a bit unrealistic... Bungie has to investigate connection behaviour... otherwise it would be to easy to ban opponents you dont like or whatever... But lets... unfortunatly TOO and IRON banner are lag paradise... I agree Search MTU router cheat destiny..... you will be SHOCKED !

Can you do more cause it's not fair for normal player. I still see more and more player that seem to be cheating their connection in PVP mode. I am here since day 1 almost and I never complain about anything . I like this game. Hope you guys can understand us, the normal gamer.

I hope so. I have taken about 50 videos and screenshot of people that are flat out cheating. I even reported them. I will be looking to see if i see their names . I mean it hasnt been 2 days . For example My con was great this warlock comes up to me i start firing away. He backs up . Hes backing the whole time im unloading 3 clips from my suros into his head and he never dies he finally stops and elbows me in the face and i die. You cant tell me he wasnt cheating. Yes i reported him. He actually did more stuff than that during that same match. The match after that. He died really easy

I agree with the many replies here it is beyond control this game is lost to lag at the moment and it's really lame for those of us that wish to have fun and just want a good sporting match I don't care if I lose but the matches can barely function from the amount of lag anymore. I understand that you're doing what you can, and we all really appreciate it, but don't you think this is an unstoppable war without making the choice for dedicated servers? I can't help but wonder what the decision makers were thinking here... Other than holding back to gauge the health of the franchise.

My flawless in trials has been ruined as I got to 8 wins 3 times because of lagswitchers. And you do nothing about that so this is bullshit.

this is rubbish, i have reported loads of cheats and DDOSers, who i see regularly back on the game week in week out, its why i gave up with destiny.
