Title says it all.
If we want to Reforge/Reroll our weapons, it's not much trouble to have to Unlock them before we do it. Locking should be a total lock.
It is, however, potentially a lot of trouble to accidentally Reforge/Reroll our cherished gear. Every time I visit the Gunsmith now, I unequip my Jolder's Hammer just in case, since I'd flip out if I even accidentally hit the wrong button or dropped my controller. Jolder's Hammer with the Rodeo and Crowd Control perks, and that Field Scout. Flip out.
See where I'm going with this? :D
Going forward with Destiny, I think this is an easy to implement feature that will reduce some GUI anxiety and mitigate inevitable accidents.

I haven't accidentally anything in this game even before the lock feature was introduced. How big are people's fingers ;)?

Edited by Crimson Lupi: 6/1/2015 8:50:39 PMBumped, not because of accidentally rerolling, but because 'locking' gear should do just that; keep it completely, 100% sealed from everything that could damage/change it.

Edited by DefiantWhispers: 5/21/2015 9:52:17 PMBump. I was actually surprise. I could & almost accidentally did, re-roll my locked scout rifle. Glad I hit my sniper with the X button. As I already spent 55 or so motes for my perfect roll on my scout. Simple bump* Could be a easy mess up in a hurry. I mean locked is locked right? I don't kinda lock my car doors. The insurance would say. Oh so you left your car unlocked. I say ah. Well I left 1 door unlocked..... But the other 3 were totally locked, do I still get my paid?!! Insurance>>> ummm hell no.. Not half. Not meet ya in the middle. Either it was locked or not period. =)

Try just paying attention to what you are doing

I want to say "Just be careful, you dumb scrubs" but I was always worried about accidentally deleting one of my weapons before the lock came out and someone could have easily just said the same thing to that. I don't see a reason not to make the lock prevent a reforge, I guess.
