I wrote an emo poem.
Enjoy:
Woe is me,
Blood,
Darkness,
Void,
The blood of my heart,
Is like darkness,
The darkness of death,
Is like my makeup.
Blood is like a rose,
A heart, torn on a thread,
Of yarn, from which
My heart has broken.
Woe, eternal love monkey

[/quote] I'm glad you liked it. Poetry is often used to convey emotion - and I like to convey humor.

to be honest though, the jerk guy is kinda right. why should kids feel all sorry for themselves when they live in the best country in the world (next to canada) people in africa are starving, and you dont see them killing themselvs. although they have a right to complain. there is no real reason to be depressed. maybe a girl dumped you, or your stressed out, but it passess, and soon youll forget about it. be like me, im always happy , even when im sad...... make a joke about everything. I'm just going to keep posting because it seems like we're actually not going to flame each other... Kingcream, you are right. It is easy to come up with something along those lines. But it is about the music most of the time. Not all lyrics are that generic. Most people listen to certain songs because they relate them to moments or moods in their lives anyways. If you took a different genre, it's lyrics could be pulled apart and called dumb just as easily. It's all dependent on the individual. I won't lie, most emo bands make me want to puke. Mainly because they're jumping on this hipster bandwagon that's passing by. Then there are the kids with nothing wrong in their lives taking the music too far. That aggrivates me more than poseurs. They cause damage to themselves and others when that's not what the music is supposed to be about. I'm ranting. *stops*
