Realistic theories of the somewhat distant future...
What will Earth be like in, I dunno, a hundred years? Will it be full of "futuristic-hollywood-ized gadgets" and robotic servants? Will it be an apocolyptic playground of radiation? Or will it be somewhat the same, only a little warmer?
Anyone care to make a detailed hypothesis of their own?

In the distant future I assume we will have developed some more efficient, more productive resource to feul our more developed, more advanced machines. If thats the case we most likely will have run across other intelligent, space-travelling aliens. Under this assumption I think the human race would join together to form one nation on earth and we would have world peace. We'd rally together solely for the reason that there would be life outside of our planet. Beam me up, Scotty.

There is no way to work around that my friend. They are a large influence in the world. I will not say anymore because I wish not to be booted from this place. It is my safe haven...whatever that means lol

Instead of discussing Politics or Religion, just talk about how the population will be effected. What will work be like? Transportation? Exploration? Survival? By the way, I DO know what you mean. I have theories, but am unable to FULLY describe. -c

I, personally, think that we'll end up building a robot that builds better robots, that builds better robots, that builds better robots, until one day we live under the ruling thumb of robots, and are forced to live in isolated pods in which we are independently fed hallucinations of a different world where we all meet again, in one mutual "understanding" to keep us happy while they use our life-force energy as fuel and continue to pilage earth for minerals to spread the domination towards all planets in this galaxy, and then one day the universe.
