Warner Brothers Picked up the Rights to...

Five Nights at Freddy's: The Movie. I'm not sure how I feel about this. What worries me is that one of the scariest things about the game was that you were the one under all that pressure. The movies won't be able to capture that, because it won't be you trying not to buckle under the pressure of keeping the animatronics out, it'll be some actor.

    • How much more more $$$ can they grab before the franchise ends belly up? Like 3 games in the span of 7 months is ridiculous... now a movie!!!!

      • I hope they realise that jump scares do not make a good horror movie

      • Typically video game -> movies don't work, but FNaF's will probably be great. There's a deceptively in depth story to it and it'll be easy as -blam!- to film because it all takes place in a goddamn pizza place.

        • The games weren't even scary though. They were just cheap and shoddy jumpscares.

YES!! I CALLED IT YOU F***ER! I CALLED IT! I literally discussed this with someone on here about a week ago *queue that damn bass* and I was saying how great it would be if they did it right. I want it to be as brutal as SAW, now that will be awesome! I should be a Psychic, not a Bandit!

No matter how much I loathe the fanbase and don't really care for the games, I just can't hate Scott Cawthon. >SJWs push their shitty indie trash hoping it will be the next big hit in gaming >straight white christian male makes a game and it earns him enough to retire comfortably in less than a year >throws money at charities >donated a quarter million dollars to a children hospital >made three games in the time it took Notch to add a handful of buggy features >very humble and doesn't publicly announce he's going on holiday every 10 days I'm glad for him, and I hope he continues to make games.

I can see it being good if they just make it a straight up horror movie with the lore of the games and have it well written and directed, but nothing to do with game mechanics like doom tried to do. I'm curious as to what perspective it would be at. Personally I would like to see either from a high school kid employee or a child's perspective. Off the top of my head it can open with the fazbears diner and maybe one of the kids witnesses the first murder. It's cliche but then he can grow up and try to confront his fears by going back with friends or something. They break in around the time of the purple guy and the next spree of murders and the kid is left locked in almost catching him and left unconscious in the security room. He wakes up to the freshly stuffed animatronics trying to kill him. That's act 1. Act 2 can go a lot of different ways but I'm at work so can't put much thought into it yet. Basically so far just using fnaf2. The other two don't lend well to a concise movie

i cant say im too excited about this. The only way i can see this movie being good is if it has some good horror elements, doesnt go the route of a "Found footage" film, and explains the story, or the lore a little bit. Dont get me wrong, i like the games and the lore but I don't really see why it needs a movie... arent people who have worked on "The ring" and "The grudge" working on it too? wonder how thats gonna turn out then...

                  • That's the dumbest shit I've heard all day. Hell, it might be the dumbest thing I've heard all week. Maybe even the dumbest thing I've heard yet in this admittedly young month. "Hey guys, let's throw millions at a movie about a meme series that will probably be dead and buried by the time we finally release our shitty product a year or two from now!"

                    • I am pretty sure the movie will focus on the lore. And not a dude sitting in an office.
