I am a previous gen user, convince me future D1 content shouldn't be supported for my console.

The recent update -quite laughably- has once again caused much undue controversy. I thank you Deej for being honest with us, I really do appreciate the reasoning! It's always good to know a little more behind the normally sealed gates. Now, for my points against the de facto "The reason we don't have hundreds of available slots in the Vault is due to those damn filthy peasants! Throw those ol' fossils o'erboard!": 1) Check my character. Look at my stats. I'm by no means the dewritos dunking MLG Swagglet of cringe, but I am solid and even slightly if not out-right above average in terms of the success ratios across the various activities I undertake and the performance displayed by those numbers. I've never had a VoG team question my contribution as a Hunter even during the most prudent time of Atheon/Templar cheese due to this fact. I'm even a die-hard Lore FANATIC -but that's another topic-. Note: Only got back into Destiny a couple weeks back after a two month burnout, finally got back into a Raid team and as you can imagine I haven't had much time to bust into CE. No brakes on the train however as I've killed HM Crota twice this week alone. I must admit, it IS impossible to find a cheese-free CE run on previous gen. That bugs me to no-end as there are a vast majority of casual players on my gen of hardware. That, or they're college students who are short on time. 2) I'm on previous gen still as I recently upgraded my PC as well as dealt with some unique situations in life. I know most of you have one as well even if your mates think otherwise am I right? Even then I would only ever buy an XOne for D2 as I'm still wary of MS's movements and if they will eventually try to implement the software for the disgusting excuse of a "console" that was originally announced. 3) Destiny was released on both previous and current gen, and was initially being developed for previous gen. Destiny expansions expand upon Destiny and ergo should be made available to all versions of Destiny as sold by retailers. Destiny 2 however should not support previous gen. 4) Bungie's expanding the current weapon space alone by 80% I myself have at one point owned all pre-TDB IB available weapons, a solid assortment of Vanguard, nearly everything (except Fatebringer) from VoG, EVERY New Monarchy weapon, Khovostov & Stranger's, and every exotic excluding Hard Light (as I recieved that the IB following TDB's release), and still had room to spare, at that point I only owned one character. I do not understand why this is as large of an issue as it is, are you saving up those ten Fusion Rifles and collecting every rare weapon available from Rocs? Serious question, not ragging on you as a player as I myself have a solid collection of Uncommon weapons I keep for Beta nostalgia (Mos Ganon III, Jigoku SR3-SL, Suros MKB-51, Gozen-C, and a Darius-C). So tell me, even if previous gen were draggin' down the storage space of your characters and certain game aspects aside-from is it not as originally designed? By all means, make D2 for current gen only I and every other previous gen player will make due. This is a challenge to convince me otherwise, and Bungie by collateral. 40min edit: /thread?
