New rarity class?
I think it would be really neat if you could get weapons and gear rarer than legendaries or exotics, Mythic. And instead of purple or gold, it would be red. Cool idea huh? Please, no hate, it's unnecessary.

4 RepliesI would like a class of weapons so rare that it was surprising to find a person who had three of that rarity equipped at once, even months after its release. Like a 1/20 drop on only a single raid boss. But that would have to be balanced in some way other than just pure RNG to be fun. Clan trading come on.

Imagine if you could get class specific gear, like Hunters: different knifes you could use as a secondary or melee or even primary Warlocks: gauntlets that could be equipped in different slots, they could also shoot Titans: I'm not sure but I think about different fists that could have leave different burns B4 u ppl ask me what I'm smoking, it's crack :) [spoiler]I don't smoke crack, crack is bad[/spoiler]

Instead of making them so rare. Make them a fully customizable class of weapons/armor.

They should put Mythic Items in the next Destiny that's coming out in spring 2016 along with a new class.

That would be interesting. If they did something like that though, the "mythic" items should be powerful enough that you can only equip one at a time. Not like exotics, where you can equip one weapon and one piece of armor. With the next tier of items you can only equip one, period. That would make them much more interesting in my opinion.

If they were obtained through extremely difficult tasks and not RNG. Plus keep them out of crucible, otherwise it'll just get nerf cries until the starting riffle is on par with it

3 RepliesI think this should be the rarity tier for raid gear. They aren't quite as good as exotics but better in general to other legendary gear.

Could you equip 1 exotic + 1 mythic + 2 Iron Banner pieces and skip raid gear entirely? What would prevent mythic items from making PvP even more flawed than it already is? How would mythic items be better than exotics without making the game too easy, but still have enough utility to be worthwhile in endgame PvE? How would mythic items be taken into account when considering the awful random number generator? I need more convincing that this would be "cool", because I'm not seeing it.

2 RepliesI've always thought that this would be a good idea. The mythic class weapons would be EXTREMELY hard to get and would be really unique. Some ideas for mythic items that I had in mind were things like a flamethrower that used heavy ammo, dual slide-back pistols, or, maybe, a grenade launcher style weapon.

1 ReplyI see a problem with a new tier. It would have to come before exotics. Because if you turned the exotics into a second best tier there would be problem with the uniqueness thing. However if they added a bunch of lore where there were even greater legends (better than kabr, dregden, etc) or some higher tech, and we could collect that, then I could see a new tier.

I wish there was a next level of gun, that really separated skill from luck. That would really be good for all the players that put in tons of time on this game.

1 ReplyNot bad idea I've thought of this, I think the engram drop would be more of a black color, but not bad idea, I just don't know how they would make the mythic gear look given that exotics are already made to look over the top. But other than that. BUMP!

5 RepliesSimilar idea. Unique Items. Unique items are made by deconstructing weapons for parts that serve as perk upgrades. Ex. I dismantle a Red Death and get Unflinching, and one other random one on the gun. Then you take parts and weapon frames (Hand cannon, Sniper Rifle, Shotgun, etc.) and insert the parts to craft a particular weapon of your own creation. The rarity color will be Red. The name is also up to you. Opinions?

Mythic would be my guess for the next type, because my all-time favorite Bungie games were the Myth series.

Something above exotic would be cool. I was thinking about this the other day and too came up with the idea of calling items of that nature 'Mythic'.
