Combo Question to Pro Sword Bearers??
Has anyone ever killed Crota in 2 swords with the following combo:
4 hits, 4 hits, 4 hits, 6 hits?
Does he get up sooner when he's enraged?
What combo do you guys know that gets him in down in 2 swords?

2 slash combos and a slam

5-4 twice is enough to do so I believe, if not then it's 5-5 -I've managed this

For two downs and two swords you need four slams and one swipe. Requires more luck than skill to do it that way though... Better just to down him 3 times so you don't have to worry about what combo to use or enrage

10 Replies15th hit enrages him, 18th kills him. Do the math and divide it up however you please.

Just triple down him with both swords and get as many hits as you can on him each down. He'll die in 2 swords.

Rb, Rt, Rt, Rt, Rt 3 down first sword , 2 down second sword, he's done Best to do when hoping up from middle , try to be as quick as you can with the sword .

7 RepliesFrom a PS button layout R3(x2) R1(x3) This will enrage him on the second kneel of the second sword, and the last kneel you'll only need 2 R1s Also helps if you can have a defender PPP a bubble on Crotas platform so you can get a super in on the first sword all but assuring you can get him in two swords

3 RepliesIt takes 18 hits to kill him, so to do it in 2 swords you usually need to down him 3 times per sword

Not certain but I think his shield comes back/stand up happens automatically with enrage

Yes I kill him in 2 swords and 4 downs. I use a mix between 2 combos and a slam, a slash and 4 slams, or a combo and 3 slams whatever I feel like doing.

Edited by heyviet: 3/9/2015 3:50:52 PMMy 2 sword combo is: 1x melee slash 4x RT smash Blink strike (may have to leave the sword and jump out of the way in case crota sees last known spot) 1x melee slash 3-4x RT (Total of 9-10 hits per sword) Jump out while avoiding any attack if you can Haven't done HM in awhile though since I haven't needed it. But in order to execute a 10 hit sword, you need agi maxed and a helm/gaunts with increased melee atk speed. It also helps a lot when you are the host. Also, he shouldn't get up faster on enrage, but thats up to the God of Lag

You can't get 6. But if you're host or the connection is perfect you can get 5. One of my regular raiding buddies sent me a video of him getting 10 hits worth the first sword in 2 kneels, then finishing him on the second with 4 and 4

Just play it safe. RT 4,4, 3,2, 3,2. Gives yourself margin for error and you can add 4s in later if you miss a few. Unless you have some combo practiced perfectly.
