Update! Added 'Add to contacts' button for user profiles.

Thanks to sy r b for the idea and CAVX for the installation instructions!

This is a script that adds a contact list to the Messages page of your profile. You can add or remove contacts quickly without reloading the page, or putting in some complex user ID. You just put the name and it's there; quick and easy.
Unfortunately, the current version is for Firefox only. I'll see if I can make one for Opera later.
I tested on Firefox 3 and 1.5, and it worked great on both, so I don't see any reason for it not to work on Firefox 2.
Enjoy!

Firefox Installation
This script requires you to be using Mozilla Firefox as your browser.
This script also requires the Greasemonkey extension. (download)
Step 1: Download the script (see link above).
Step 2: Drag ".js" file into Firefox Window
Step 3: Click Install
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!
Posted by: Duardo Oh goody, I can PM Foman's Mom twice as fast now!! Which means we can meet together twice as fast, and do it twice as fast! :D
Yay!!!!!

well, looks like Duardo's inbox is going to get freiken nuked now.
Posted by: Duardo Oh goody, I can PM Foman's Mom twice as fast now!! Which means we can meet together twice as fast, and do it twice as fast! :D
so if you can PM twice as fast, and so can every duardo PM'er that uses Firefox, does that mean the above statement is true?

Duardo, the two pump chump

Alphabetical would be great and as said before if someone added you to their list there should be a popup or something to alert you saying 'so and so has added you to their contacts list, would you like to add them?'
Posted by: sy r b Alphabetical would be great and as said before if someone added you to their list there should be a popup or something to alert you saying 'so and so has added you to their contacts list, would you like to add them?'
NOOO then duardo would just say "NO" to everyone and it would be useless in the act of spamming his inbox! edit: On second thought a random pop-up every time he tries to do something that also has a little sound would probably make it even better! Just as long as he can't block people from doing it over and over again. [Edited on 08.14.2008 2:17 PM PDT]

Alphabetic order would be cool, but would take some time ;) Maybe tomorrow... Good idea speedysurfer. I'll try to do that right now.
Posted by: sy r b Alphabetical would be great and as said before if someone added you to their list there should be a popup or something to alert you saying 'so and so has added you to their contacts list, would you like to add them?'
That'd be pretty difficult to do seeing how it's all client side stuff. The only thing I can think of is to get it to send a message. Paul, I can't seem to find anything that'd allow something similar to GM_Getdata and GM_Setdata. The only thing close is this, but that uses cookies so whenever a user cleared their cookies, they'd lose all of their contacts.

Interesting. I'd expect more from anything related to Opera since it would be by far the best web-browser if it weren't so unstable... Thank you though. I was thinking it would be cool to have a completely different PM system. That page would look like an email client and there would be folders and link tracking and contacts and etc. Maybe someday. On an off topic note, I've started to realise how useful my posting tools really are!

Hay paul, how many people can you have maximum?
-
*downloads script* *adds Duardo* Thanks guys!
Posted by: sy r b Hay paul, how many people can you have maximum?
As many as you want until it makes the bottom of the page look ugly, or Firefox says: "Too much data". I could put in page numbers... SpeedySurfer, if you noticed, the 'add' button looks a lot more like the real buttons on Bungie.net so you should put that in your awesome posting tools script. *Steals button styling code from Paul's script* Edit: You know, you could shorten your button code down a bit by defining "document.getElementById('add')" as a variable and putting something like "addButton.style['background']='#17668a';" instead of "document.getElementById('add').style['background']='#17668a';" Just an observation...
Posted by: paulmarv Good point.
It's called coding the lazy way. My speciality :P

Ok, I added the 'Add to contacts' button.
Posted by: paulmarv Ok, I added the 'Add to contacts' button.
i think it should be next to 'message user' but in the profile is still ok =) great work, keep it up.
