So my raid team and I say this everyday. "I'm tired of looking the same as you guys." [b][u]The armor in destiny varies greatly from level 1-30.[/u][/b] But when it comes down to raid gear, (which is needed to stand a chance on hard) you notice every 32 looks the same. There is occasionally an exotic difference, yet let's face it, all 32s look alike. I simply propose a vendor who allows you to combine two pieces of armor. One for the armor skin and another for the actual stats. I'm personally a huge fan of the lower level gear looks. It's not too bulky but it starts to show what your max level guardian will turn into. For example of warlocks, all 20 gear has a nice long robe feel, where as level 1 it's basically a skirt. I can't imagine this is too hard to code. For the shaders.... I'm personally ok with the selections. There is enough diversity to allow unique looks. But if we could customize a shaded that would be sweet too. Let's say 50 ascendant energy per skin retexture :D
