Gjallarhorn Drop Rate
Hey guys!
I have finally received my first Gjallarhorn this week from Crota normal.
Ever since, I have seen Gjallarhorn everywhere. I even finished a Crota hard checkpoint with 5 people having this rocket launcher equipped.
We see the people that are asking for this weapon every week from Xur and from RNG. Even though we say this gun is one of the rarest exotics, I honestly think it is not.
What do you think ? Is Gjallarhorn rare or not ?

Almost everyone I find on LFG has one. People that don't are a minority on there...

Took me like five months to get one, but as soon as I got one I got 4 more within 3 months, I think it just happens

3 RepliesBungie you need to do something about this. All your long term daily players through not fault of their own cant get the most powerful gun in the game. Increase the RNG for players who's have been around a very long time and never had one. It's only fair. Otherwise you may just poke us in the eye for our loyalty.

1 ReplyI would consider it the second rarest drop, at least in the case of my RNG. I've got roughly 530-550 hours and I've only had it drop once for me. However, the rarest drop has got to be Praetorian Foil

for me it is still rare. Have it since a long time but never got a 2nd one and seen it dropping only once for someone in NF. Playing since mid september. RNGGGGGGG

Actually the majority of Destiny players own a Gjallarhorn.

It's random. Any exotic can drop in it's place. I can't explain it, it's just random.

1 ReplyIt's rare until you get one then they drop like crazy. Didn't get one till like a month before HoW. Then when HoW came out I got two more.

My buddy just got his 4th gally. I've watched and weeped silently all 4 times.

I have three and I got two of them in the same week for the nightfall and the hard Crota raid.

I've been playing since day 2 and only got my first gjallarhorn about 2 weeks ago yet 1 of my friends has 2 and my other friend has had 3 for around over a month or 2.

85% of my friends have it, I see people with it all the time. This lvl 28 got one from a gorgon chest on normal, the rest of the fireteam were 34's or 32's.

I'm pushing almost 30 days and 100 raids (not to mention nightfalls) and haven't got it yet.

1 ReplyIt is no rarer than any other exotic. The problem is that it is so desired that not having one is noticeable. People aren't complaining that they may have had 1,000 hours and not gotten a Monte Carlo.

Got my first about 370 hours total time. Vast majority was spent doing low level activities without a chance at an exotic. Wasn't til Mid january i even did a nightfall. Been playing since mid october I've got a total of 3 now at 500 hours total time. I don't carry duplicates(thank you vault space) so i dismantled 2 of them. Yea, i'd say it's rare for sure. Though i do seem to meet more and more people who have one now. I suppose it's just a matter of time. Like me getting swordbreaker or VoC. Eventually i will but how f'ing long will it take????!! Lol, ok, i'm frustrated. I WANT THE VOC!

2 RepliesIts not exactly all that rare among those who consientently do raids, but its not all that common either. What gives its semblence of extreme rarity is the fact everyone wants it.
