Gjallarhorn Drop Rate
Hey guys!
I have finally received my first Gjallarhorn this week from Crota normal.
Ever since, I have seen Gjallarhorn everywhere. I even finished a Crota hard checkpoint with 5 people having this rocket launcher equipped.
We see the people that are asking for this weapon every week from Xur and from RNG. Even though we say this gun is one of the rarest exotics, I honestly think it is not.
What do you think ? Is Gjallarhorn rare or not ?

2 RepliesIts not exactly all that rare among those who consientently do raids, but its not all that common either. What gives its semblence of extreme rarity is the fact everyone wants it.

I bust my ass off in hard Crota for about an hour & a half to finally get the gally , then I played one Poe lvl28 & got it from the chest ! I was so mad but happy as well !

I have recieved 3 Gally's 1. From a legendary engram from playing Crucible (Pretty lucky!) 2. Nightfall 3. Nightfall

Gjallahorns are being handed out like candy on Halloween now. I've had about 14 people on my friends list get their G-Horns since the dlc drop. I still think it's rare but nothing like it was a few months ago.

I've put almost 640 hours n still don't have one but it will drop eventually

I think that if you already have one, the drop rate increases, I've gotten my first one from crucible and out of the 9 exotic drops/engrams since then, 5 were G-horns I've gotten 2 in one week and I really don't play all that much. What do you guys think?

Yea took me forever to get one... Have 3 one for each class First - vog gorgon chest (hard) Second - first ever Poe level 28 Third - nightfall Really is random good luck man hope u get one.... Rock that hunger til then

It's RNG, it is no rarer than any other exotic. The problem is that it is desired, people don't necessarily care that they don't have other exotics as much.

The Gjallahorn and Vex Mythoclast are two guns I still have yet to receive, and I've logged in about 600+ hours of game play with 3 characters. I was lucky enough to receive The Last Word after the House of Wolves expansion, as well as complete Thorn and Invective exotic bounties after the update.

I been playing the game since a week after xur had the ghorn upon release of the game. Still do not have it, as many hard work and time I always and still do put into raids, this RL will not drop for me. Besides, I like my Hunger and dragons, sniper and machine guns. :3. Think ghorn is way over rated and people only want to rely on it because of the most dmg output cause of the packs, and want easy kills. I don't mind having 1 or two people in a fireteam raid with ghorn but a full party of ghorn is OP and takes the fun out of the raids and effort.

If people complain that they don't have one and say they raid, I just flat out don't believe them. I do believe that gjallarhorn drop rates were reduced during the last patch though... Sucks for you guys now. I also believe if you do 3 Crota norms, 3 Crota hard, and 3 VoG hard every week you would have one by now. I think that people who say they raid every week and still haven't got one are lying and don't raid all as much as me and my other raid mates who truly do raid a lot. Just saying from experience, all the people I know who wanted one and I witnessed raid that much have at least gotten one, most of us more than one. *edit* thanks for all the replies! I enjoy reading what you guys think! I have no proof that drop rates were ever increased. This is just purely what I have observed! Add me on Ps4 same name and we can raid so hopefully I can help you celebrate when you get your first Gjally!

No. My buddy got 3 to drop in 3 weeks and has about 450 hours in the game. I have 3 as well and my other friend i frequently play with has 2.

Its not i had skolas cp yesterday and i just put up lvl 34 requirement and preferred titan and all three of us had ghorn
