I'm a PvE player almost exclusively, but played PvP with a group in Iron Banner. Six man team, we were. Everybody but me played Iron Banner to get to level 32, saying how easy it was to do in only a few days. So, I think PvP (at least in IB) has advantages rather than disadvantages. Regarding the weapons, the CE raid weapons aren't that great, as you'll see by reading the forum posts. Most CE weapons have better Vanguard equivalents available for purchase and that's probably true for Crucible stuff as well.

What a bunch of bs, you have to complete those bounties and get wins to do this. Way harder than Crota. Raids are only difficult because it relies on getting a bunch of assholes and dorks to work together and you can't get gamers to change a lightbulb together
