Every time I search for another player it finds someone but right before it starts it just backs out and restarts search. My brother is playing on the same router and is playing it just fine. I even disconnected him and tryed, but it does work. Is anyone else having this problem or do you know what to do. Its very frustrating. Ive also reset my router and xbox so I dont know. Its been doing this for about and hour now.

That's a side thing. They can ban you from it just fine. Most people defending cheating are more often than not, cheating in some way, shape, or form. Modding for fun and making/finding very very cool things like BOLL does? That's awesome! :) But on Live? That's not awesome! :( Want to bet something? I can make a ten times better case as to how cheaters are ruining my experience, than how Bungie ruined one cheaters experience. ;)
You can check my games in MM, and you will see that I do not cheat (I don't think I have cheated since Sega was the console to have). I only say that because I assume that you were insinuating that I was cheating. I do not support it, but someone "boosting" for exp in a game, although somewhat lame, and getting "killed" for it, is a bit harsh. My gaming experience thus far with cheaters has be fine because I dont ever see any. I don't care if someone sits there and "boosts", I do care if someone is flying around on the map when they shouldn't be. I guess I have been lucky enough to not notice the cheating and modding going on in the Halo community. All that aside, he got what he deserved I guess.

Read the bold print... Pasted from the linky for those who are lazy. And to make a point. _________________ Halo 3 Banhammer Information If you are checking this page because of an in-game message from Halo 3, it is likely that you have been banned from Halo 3’s Matchmaking system for violating the terms of use and/or committing a code of conduct violation. It is also possible in the case of an especially egregious violation, that your Xbox 360 system itself is now banned from Matchmaking. The duration of this ban will be based on the type, frequency or nature of the committed violation. In most cases, Custom Games will still be available. Types of violation include, but are not limited to, the following example actions: Manipulating network conditions to give yourself an advantage, or to the detriment of the experience for other players. Modifying your Xbox 360 hardware or Halo 3 software in any way. Boosting, cheating or any other type of unsociable and unsportsmanlike behavior. The following things will not result in a visit from the banhammer: Lag (poor or intermittent network performance). Occasional disconnects due to inconsistent network conditions. Playing with the same group of friends over and over using the party system. Losing games over and over again. Winning games over and over again. Being polite, courteous and refraining from hate-speech and racial slurs. The above violations cover a wide gamut of deliberate and obnoxious behaviors. The bans, when implemented are done so with rigorous checking to ensure that the innocent are not netted alongside the guilty. Please note that while this process is automated, it is accurate. Bans are almost certainly legitimate, and will stay in force for their stated duration. To keep your matchmaking privileges in good standing, immediately cease any unsociable behavior and wait out the ban. Either way, there will be no response communication from this process. IMPORTANT: You are ultimately responsible for the use of your Xbox Live account and Xbox 360 hardware. If a friend or relative’s actions have put you in this position, please take it up with them, not us. [Edited on 06.04.2008 6:28 PM PDT]

Boosting is considered cheating by Bungie which is why I go the totally opposite way and for real. That way there is no question as to whether I boost or not....
Posted by: Rehab42069
Posted by: Deviation Error
Posted by: Rehab42069 Got to love the ability to create a game such as Halo 3, make everybody pay for it, make everybody pay for some of the updates, and then have the ability to destroy thier ability to play the game after they decided to cheat a little bit for fun. Almost godly like ability I think, kind of unfair. The OP must now realize that cheating (even though fun) is not allowed now, even though he/she paid for the game and updates....
agreed i would give a kidney to be able to do what they do lol but maybe one of them wants a personal chef in like 6 months?
My point is that in the old days you could cheat and have fun (on a game you paid for) and no one did anything. Now it has gotten to the point (which is a good thing) to where if you cheat (boosting in this circumstance) you get the "cyber police" banning you from playing that game to it full ability that you paid for. Its getting so bad that pretty soon there will probably be a law passed through the Senate (most likely from Microsoft), that for those who like to cheat (sometimes or all the time) will end up going to jail, cheating will become a felony...
i'd vote for it lol
