It's like a Cycle

When I say a Cycle I am talking about the Bungie community itself. I will be honest, I don't come as often anymore. However when I do it seems like the only thing that ever is changing is the graphics of the website itself. The community always seems to stay the same. Same people, same events, same groups, same threads, same questions, same memes, same policies, and the list may go on. I know that this is one of the reasons I tend not to visit as often, because well. It seems like nothing interesting happens much. I see the same "known" community members always here, as if they never get less satisfied of the activities and bored of things. It is almost as if they are always finding something within the semi-limited resources available to make something of it. Even though in my opinion the reality is it is still the same. I really don't see much new, is it that most active members participating actively within this community just wanting to help? Are you guys here to become known and make friends with the other community members here? Or do you have no general reason but just come and become part of the cycle? Sure I know alot of you come here because you love the game and the atmosphere of the developers, people, and the community itself. And I agree with that too, and I assume that is another reason I wander here. But I have a question for the members here that are always actively participating, that have been here for awhile, and well appear to not notice the cycling events and such. Have you guys ever even got bored of the community, do you notice what I view as this cycling community? And if you do why and what do you do to stop yourself from drifting away? Or what is it that stops you? I always find myself drifting away because nothing catches my interest, and nothing seems to be new and exciting enough to be worth getting involved and participating in. I understand that this is a strong matter of my opinion too. I'm tempted to say I would like things within the community to change but I don't know how or what would be satisfying and how it would be changed. I don't know why I made this thread either... randomness

 • Did you seriously make an alt just to post a copy pasta? It is clear that some of you really have trouble thinking up something to talk about when more creative folks aren't shoving it down your throat, but that doesn't mean you have to annoy the rest of us with tired jokes.

 • Your pointing out of the cyclical nature of the Community is cyclical as well. As is my pointing out the cyclical nature of your cyclical observation of cyclicality. An observation of how cyclical pointing out the cyclical nature of a cyclical observation of cyclicality is less cyclical than the rest, but happens every now and then when someone makes a post like this. ©

 •
Posted by: Bricypoo This one isn't genuine, made with an ALT two months after the last one.
Posted by: ALI217
Posted by: Bricypoo It's like a cycle
two in the same year! That's a rare find.

I've got to disagree with you. Your one wasn't genuine since It wasn't a year since the last one was posted, whoever posted this must have been planning it for a long time as this alt seems to have been made with the sole purpose of posting this thread. It hasn't even made any post but this one.

 • Well, part of it for me is just habit, but a major part of it is knowing that there's a huge era that is waiting to start over the horizon, and being around to document that era as it approaches is both exciting and interesting. And if all else fails I can just argue Game Design in the Flood. Or play with friends from Private Groups. Yes, especially in the Community Forum, things can get repetitive, but I think most of us are sticking around for the promise that things will change when Bungie announces their next game.
