We used the middle strategy but modified it. Check out this strategy of my group. If this was helpful give it a THUMBS UP and SUBSCRIBE. Thanks for watching!

Thrall meleeing you through the glass while you're there is a reverse-cheese.
-
Is it a cheat/not intended (hate the word cheese for these things)? Yes, but i will use it until patched. You call it a strategy but there is no way bungie anticipated this( obviously they do very little internal testing). The whole way the raid is setup is get you out in open and time everything. Want to stay in the bottom middle you have to kill gatekeeper and waste sword time, want to stay up top you need to break up team and kill boomers and wizard while other group kills sword and gets in position.

Edited by BaBaBoomstick: 1/24/2015 10:43:52 PMThe only cheese involved in standing there is when the suprise thrall kills somebody through the glass. *Guardian down* "WTF?" *turn around to see Thrall going full retard window licker* "We missed one. "

Tactical positioning is not a cheese lol.
-
Still possible to die, so nope not a cheese
-
The %11 percent that voted it is a cheese where clearly dropped on their heads as a child.

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Edited by leakedshots: 1/24/2015 9:26:40 PMIf people think mid strategy is a cheese? If Bungie patches it, they might as well patch the ability for players to run inside again , forcing you to go downstairs mid and fight gatekeeper. Nuff said.
-
It's the exact same as the middle strategy at Atheon
-
A cheese is a glitch in the game. Sitting anywhere that was intentionally placed on the map with a ledge to stand on is not a cheese.
-
It's in no way a cheese. You can easily die when crota runs to one side and ogres can wipe you out. It's within the map and is easily accessible and therefore not a cheese.
-
I prefer to handicap myself and stand where boomers are going to shoot at me. How dare you people choose to use your environment to avoid damage.

As a diehard lactose intolerant Gaurdian, im leaning towards its not cheese. Thats only because that platform is so small, had it been like 1 foot wider, id say no cheese for sure. Itd be cool if Bungie would straight uo say which strategies are cheeses, because its kinda hard to decide in some cases. For example, in the abyss section, on normal, we have always stuck as a group all the way to the bridge, seems legit. Then, 2 days ago, i tried it on Hard, and the grouo insisted we just have everyone go every man for himself and that we just need 1 guy at the bridge to win. So i agreed reluctantly, only 1 guy makes it there, activates the bridge, then chills on a rock inside his bubble shield, completely safe from everything until the bridge formed. Thats cheese in my book. Now LAST night, i did the Abyss part on my other character. We made an actual strategy. We had 3 titans and 3 warlocks. The 3 titans alternated throwing down a bubble shield at every lamp, while the warlocks alternated nova bombing at every lamp to help replenish our shield supers. Everyone maximized their orb producing perks and we stayed as a unit, throwing down a shield and nova bombing at every single lamp. It worked flawlessly, all 6 made it to the bridge and we stayed on the platform until we could cross. I was thinking to myself, ligt/darkness is a major theme in this game. Here we are jn the abyss darkness, weakened, but we produced orbs of light to make the whole group stronger and persevere through the darkness. At that moment, i KNEW thats how bungie intended for that part to be beaten. To top it all off, it was easily the most fun ive had on that part of the raid (especially considering it was on hard), not to mention much easier than it ever was whenever i did in on normal

How is that a cheese?!?!? You still have to kill the swordbearer get Crota down. It is still very easy to die. But in the end it's bungies decision in think if they are gonna patch it they will make the boomers able to reach the middle platform
-
Whoever says its a cheese either is jealous because they can't beat it or is an idiot.
-
Edited by im KonflicTs: 1/24/2015 10:20:57 PMLol definitely not a cheese just a smart strategy ppl came up with
-
No, its a part of the environment, that's like saying the titans bubble method is a cheese, the hunter going invisible is a cheese, when the F#@$ is this community going to stop whining? took me two days to beat it with my clan....we find our own way, some people are suggesting to bungie that the boomers need to have more range? FU, how about fixing the game so the sword doesn't de-spawn when your on your last sword run, or crota kneel kicking our swordbearer to death while his shields are depleted? stop whining to bungie about being sore losers and have fun playing the game with friends, We played for six hours straight the first day and laughed our a$$es off the whole time( at the bugs...and the challenge). If its too hard pick up another game. P.S. no animosity at the op or anyone in general, just venting. lol
-
You're supposed to rambo everything in this game duh
-
It's a strategy. We literally walked onto a platform they put there on purpose and are using the pillars they placed to hide from enemy fire.
-
I don't think it is a cheese. The team still has to execute. A cheese pretty much guarantees success
-
Stop confusing cheesing with finding a good strategy.
-
Jesus. How dare we use our heads to find a good strategy for an otherwise extremely difficult fight. Not a cheese, not an exploit, not a glitch. Brains. Now go away.
-
Seriously, to the people saying its a cheese...go eat a shotgun and stop polluting the gene pool.
-
Edited by Pyro 509: 1/24/2015 7:26:07 PMYou mean "ass on the glass" cheese? Edit: hobs platform in VoG was a place to stand in the arena too
-
Not a cheese at all, you can easily still fùck it up
