Why is this a thing ? There is no incentive to do good in this game. Some how I just realized after lvling my 3rd account that you receive nothing for getting headshot/precision kills. People can afk and get exotics with 0 kills and no effort. You can't get extra xp from landing good shots. Sure, casual players should be able to play as well. But it's basically like you're being punished for doing halfway decently in the game.
