I've been playing Destiny for about 2 weeks. I got it along with the new cod. I never played destiny (mainly just cod). Now i play non stop because the new cod is terribly IMO. I chose the class Hunter class first, because I thought it'd be best for me. My friend (who has been playing since launch) says that the Hunter is the worst class. And thinks the Titan is the best. Although he says he never used the Hunter but his 'friends' say that the Hunter is terrible. He says that hunters die easily while Titans take tons of damage and stay alive. Is hunters really that bad? I'm doing fine with mine. I told him once I get my Hunter to Lvl 32 im gonna try getting a Titan to 32. He said once you use Titan, you'll never change class.
What do you think? Are hunters really that bad? And are Titans the best race overall?

Anyone want to join my hunter clan?

I love hunter cause that's how I started out and my play style. But I played Titan aswell now and like it too , but funny cause when I moved to Titan it was like I just chose 'very easy mode' like you have so much more armour and shield regen combined with abilities that can protect you ! Hunter you don't get that option at all , even warlocks get a second chance with revive, with hunter on pve you just got to get good , it has both of the worst specials for pve too

Your friend is listening to gossip, play one, and you will truly understand our power.

People don't seem to understand that bungie did a good job balancing every class. No class is "better" than another. It comes down to personal preference and play style. Here's the best advice you'll ever receive - try each class and continue to play whichever you most enjoy.
-
To me the biggest thing that keeps me coming back to Hunter is the jump; not a big fan of the hover. I feel like a ninja when I play Hunter.

By far the best sword carrier in the raid with bladedancer equipped hit three times drop sword melee go invisible hit him three more do that three times and crota is gone.
-
No they are really no worse or better than any other character

Hunters are amazing in PvP, but in PvE, their supers have a really hard time dealing with elites/bosses. The problem is that tougher endgame enemies are hardly dented by Golden Gun, and they're such ridiculous damage sponges that trying to arc blade them is suicidal. Btw, Warlocks are literally the best class. They can self-revive, they can wreck shit with massive AoE explosions, they have grenades that TRACK targets, they can produce a life saving overshield just by damaging an enemy with melee, etc, etc.

Hunter: Space Magic? Hulk Smash? That's cool... hand me my knife. The one that say "Bad Mother-blam!-er" on it.

Hunter sucks

Warlock= playing game on easy Titan = playing game on normal Hunter = playing game on impossible. You have to be skilled to use Hunter. Titans keep saying they're better than Hunters. Warlocks keep saying they're better than hunters. If this were true, they'd compare themselves to each other instead of trying to prove how they're better than the master Hunter. Look at Apple. Every company keeps claiming how their product is better than apple's products. If Samsung were the superior phone, why is the droid and Nokia and etc not comparing themselves to the Samsung? It's simple Apple makes commercials about what they have while the others make commercials about why they assume their product is better than apples. Apple has nothing to prove. It's -blam!-ing Apple. It's the best shit there is. The others want to be top dog so they try to make Apple seem shitty. Hunters are the same. We don't make posts or try to trash talk other classes. If you need a warlock with self revive because 1 life isn't enough.. That's cool. If you need a Titan so you can make a purple bubble shield to stay safe, it's your choice. As hunters we dominate regardless.

No class is as bad as your grammar.
-
None. Beast mode
-
It's not the class. It's the person using it

Each class not Race, has a different degree of understanding to use it affectively. The Hunter being the Class in question has the parameters depicted for its two Subclasses: GunSlinger: Close to Mid Ranch ability. One hit kill on some Higher levels, but a guaranteed Kill on-par to lower levels. Three Tries and your Empty. Blade Dancer: Very Close Range, can upgrade to a Mid Range. Blink Capabilities and a larger Jump Height give it the Maneuverability advantage over the other two classes. Cloaking Capabilities as well brings in the Stealth Advantage (if your into that sort of thing). Has more than Three tries. Has capability to extend ArcBlade Duration. In conclusion: i feel that the Hunter has the overall advantage in some areas for being the Middle Class being the Titan as the Heavy and Warlock as the Light. If you prefer to be a safe distance but still in the action: then the Hunter is right there.

Whoever said this is just another hater. Use whatever class you like. At the end of the day, everything comes down to skill.
-
So he tells you that Hunters die too easily ... but then says once you use a Hunter you'll never change classes. That should have been your warning sign.
-
The first 2 people to solo the new raid were both hunters. Plus we get awesome capes. Tell your friend to shove his Titan up his ass, he's just trying to put you down and make himself feel better.
-
It just takes more skill to be a good hunter. You have to be selective of your targets and that sort of thing. Definitely viable though. Bladedancer has more survivability if you find yourself having trouble initially.

WE HAWT! Case closed madafaka

Just play the game and have fun it's your choice what class you use no class is better no class is worse. I don't prefer to use warlocks because they aren't fun for me Titan is ok but my Hunter is my main. That's my opinion

Edited by Dingus Khan: 12/23/2014 11:11:01 PMI'm not gonna claim that the hunter is the best, ultimate, most Godly subclass in the game, I'll allow the Warlocks and Titans to attempt to claim that right, if nothing else to quench their thirst with some shut-up juice. What I can tell you is that Before the game came out, I decided the hunter was for me, and I have played my Human Hunter for almost the entirety of the time that the game is out ( I do have a 22 Titan, but I got bored with him). If that tells you anything, it's that I enjoy being a Hunter, and will continue to use this character for the span of the Game's life. If you at least read this far, take away this: There are multiple classes for a reason. Use what you want, and don't take someone's word for it. When it comes to opinions, everyone else but you is an idiot.

Yes, they are so horrible you should never make one. Don't try anything for yourself. Listen exactly to what everyone tells you. Form no opinions from your own thoughts or logic. Remember: "If the internet says it, it will always be true." ~Abraham Lincoln

Lol I'm a hunter I feel so agile with it and I'm crotas end most things there require speed to get around without dying so it gives me a nice advantage

Edited by LadyThren: 12/23/2014 10:51:50 PMTry all the classes before you decide* to stick to one. I have been playing since Beta (before it became a public beta) & had all three characters. After the game's official release, I noticed some* changes in the classes and eventually created three Warlocks because its my favorite class. Therfore, if you try them all you can keep the one you really like. :)
