Thorn Venation3 (explosive rounds) Timurs lash (range/impact) Never had hawkmoon or fatebringer. But they are both very good.

Fatebringer or hawkmoon. Thorn doesn't even compare to hawkmoon. Thorn is nothing when it comes to hawkmoon

Fatebringer and all the exotic hand cannons are great but until I get hawk moon fatebringer is the best.

Tfwpky 1969 is a good gun with 10 rounds in the clip but as of now nothing is touching thorn IMO.

I've got a maxed 300 TDYK which I love Maxed out Thorn 2.0, words can not describe this. Now I long for Fatebringer, but I suppose I need to finally do a raid if I want this lol

[b]IF I HAD ONE![/b] I love my Thorn and The Last Word though, hand cannons are a man's weapon. The Devil You Know is wonderful too, but it's going to be left behind if Bungie don't pull their finger out and reintroduce vanilla weapons with upgraded damage. I do enjoy my The Chance too, though I'm aware of the shortcomings. Hopefully another exotic hand cannon will come along soon. Maybe a machine pistol? Although I suppose TLW fulfills that sort of role, but I mean more rapid fire. One quick controlled burst, then reload.

What's your favorite? THE LAST WORD Are they worth it? YES! Which is the best? THE LAST WORD OR THORN IMO If you like them? I like them. If you think thay should buffed or nerfed? Hand CANNONS have to compete with everything out there. If we miss a shot or 2 were dead in PVP. Get right and get on point! Cool features to add on them. Reload Animations and style shots New types. Light based revolver with ammo effects.

Thorn and Hawkmoon have to be my favorite of the Handcannons. Hawkmoon feels euphoric every time you score those three shots that give you a damage boost. Ever since the weapon patch, Thorn feels like a worthy reward after the labor that you have go through to get it. I'd say those those two Handcannons are worth using. [spoiler]Sadly, people who own a Xbox One or 360 do not have access to Hawkmoon until Fall of 2015.[/spoiler]

The Fatebringer is the Colt Peace Maker of Destiny. Its so versatile that I use it in every situation. I love al hand cannons but FB is the best and is a strong competitor in almost every scenario.

I got hawkmoon 2.0, thorn 2.0 and tlw 2.0 this past week haven't decided on my fav yet

Absolutely love my Thorn 2.0. I got the bounty 2 days before the xpansion. I got it to 331 damage last night and I'm popping heads with it everywhere I go. Prior to Thorn, I was using TDYK and it was soooo hard to part with. I found a TFWPKY 1969 with Explosive Rounds which I've given to my Warlock while my Hunter uses Thorn. I find it so hard to play with anything else. The only other thing I can use which is remotely as good is Vision of Confluence. HC4Life!

TDYK has been my go to HC for a looooong time. Just recent completed the bounty for Thorn 2.0. Still getting used to the higher ROF. The DOT on the Thorn murders in PVP. I revert back to TDYK when I need the exotic slot on special or heavy.

1 ReplyI made the switch to Cannons 2 months ago and I can't bring myself to use anything else. I'm going to miss Fatebringer I got lucky and have 3 of them. I got a Venation III from a package on the day the DLC dropped and maxed it out. I like it so far I can tell the difference between 300 attack and 331 for sure.

Love hand cannons. I have TDYK, TFWPKY 1969, Hawkmoon, Venation III, and Timur's Lash. I'm really still playing VoG for Fatebringer. I still want one, even if it's 300atk. I think I'm going to try out TDYD even though people don't like it. I have TDYK and TFWPKY maxed cause those are my favorites right now.
