Just trying to figure out if I should bother with them at all because they all seem to me a crappy Atheon's with no Void and much smaller clip and crappier perks? Should I just go for the Vanquisher?
-
...they fire at 600 RPM, not 900 RPM. I know the bars look similar but they are completely different archetypes. Only one of the new Auto Rifles fires at 900 RPM. They actually have more damage per magazine than the old Vanquisher/Shadow Price and a bit less than Epilogue. I would just go for the Vanquisher. Anything that is controllable is good but the high Impact models kill slightly (around 100ms) faster.

bump does anyone know if the new ars are orth using?

Up for anything goes pretty good in PvP, deadly accurate and has RANGE to outweigh the low impact.

Edited by Dernaus: 12/15/2014 10:28:30 AMBeats me kinda miss autos but all the new ones have no impact so whats the point -blam!-ing pissed tbh tired of handcannons & VoC.

Edited by Vv-HEISENBERG-vV: 12/15/2014 10:09:03 AMI have a Vanquisher with the extra ammo perk which gives it 42 rounds in a clip, it's good. I've been using Up For Anything and I think it might be better in PvP despite its lower impact. Why? Because it has better range, stability and rate of fire. Those things, especially the last one, feel to me like they more than make up for and even power past the lower impact the weapon has. Sure the older weapons had great impact, but not every bullet would hit accurately and they collectively take longer to get there. That's why the old faithful Shingen-E remained a formidable lower end gun in a match full of Suros Regimes and Shadow Prices. The new Up For Anything is effectively a Shingen-E with even better range and an even bigger clip. It'll be ruthlessly in IB.

Edited by Un1337ninj4: 12/15/2014 8:43:04 AMIt depends, there're currently the Stable (typical Impact, semi-high RoF, high stability) & Rapid (Atheon's) archetype models available in the Vanguard and a Stable in the Crucible, what you're likely used to is the Precise archetype (Vanq VIII, Shadow Price, Grim Citizen, high Range, improved Impact, good stability (not as high as the previously mentioned)) As it stands the Stable and Precise archetypes perform quite in similar fashion, it doesn't even depend on your playstyle. I see very little difference in my performance between my For The People and my Vanq VIII

Edited by Kanye West: 12/15/2014 8:16:31 AMI bought and maxed out 'for the people' and its definitely worth the buy
-
Cuz the rate is so high it balances it
-
Seems like the vendor ARs pre-DLC were better models of Galahad and Sahara non-legendarys This time around they are upgrades of the Shingen line, which IS a solid gun
-
I'M SO TIRED OF USING THE VOC, I HATE THIS GUN!!!!!
-
Most of the newer rifles handle like the Shingen. Fast ROF, but just enough impact to the point where it doesn't feel like the guns shoot marshmallows. Still, the Vanquisher is really the only viable pick if you prefer harder-hitting auto rifles and don't want to wait for RNG to give you one. I swear, that rifle is the only thing keeping New Monarchy in business.
-
It all depends on their "base" stats. If they have maxed out firerate, yep, that's like a Sahara, or the Epilogue. If the firerate is almost maxed, but the impact is more than just a sliver, that's a Shingen. Same base stats as the Monte Carlo or the Hard Light. Lastly, we have the Cydonias. These are the hip-fure Suros Regime and the everything else that's not the above. I'm assuming you're too used to Cydonias to use the Shingens? I mean, the Epilogue is the only Sahara one should use, but it being a Sahara means they should my really use it, except in certain PvE situations.

I'd say Vanquisher is the way to go. The new 1 has been slightly nerfed (not sure if people have noticed). - It's max stability with the stability perk is now lower. - It now reloads faster when the clip is empty instead of after a kill. (I hardly ever reload an empty clip, always reloaded after a kill or after shooting a few bullets. Can even get 2 kills out of 1 clip). - it no longer has the red dot scope upgrade which was by far the best! (Was told this by someone, yet to check myself). Still an amazing weapon and would be my choice but i have original Vanquisher and will continue to use it,even in Iron banner it will still rip up!
-
Doesn't the one shoot like 900 rounds a minute...?
-
There is a rare auto rifle called the black Suros. It has stats better then the vanquisher and goes up to 294. My buddy has it and he says it's amazing in crucible due to high impact
-
IMO I think because of the theme of The Dark Below. The hive's tactics as an enemy race is to swarm the players with cannon fodder enemies like thralls and acolytes. Having a high ROF gun would be more beneficial mowing down countless waves of enemies in close quarters, hence the flavor for this expansion's weapon rosters. I guess they're just making legendary weapons to fit the raid.
-
I think Bungie are trying to force us to use other weapons. I've been seeing an enormous increase of people using scout and pulse rifles even in PVP. They just hit way harder.
-
Get a Suros
-
I'm assuming it has something to do with the countless groups of thralls they decided to put in the DLC thinking it would "add" extra content and difficulty haha.
-
Bungie trolled everyone with the the new vendor weapons. Pretty much every single one of them is terrible.
-
UFA is amazing.
-
All the new weapons either have very low impact or very small clips. Bungie's cheesee way of making the game artificially difficult.
-
Suros Regime 2.0 is just a great in CE as good as 1.0 was before
-
I have for the people auto rifle. I compared my grim citizen III to it. The new auto does need a small impact buff imo, not a major but the rof does not make up for the impact. It actually has 34 rounds, not 26. The stat is wrong. And if you use feild scout its 56 rounds, not 42. It does pretty good, just needs a nudge on impact & it will be just as good as the old auto rifles
-
Picked up the Do Gooder V from strike DLC & I'm lovin it on pve & pvp big RoF better impact than atheon 56 clip & it looks well sexy
-
I had an Payback SOS drop, it's like a re-skinned epilogue without void. lol
